Move Rule
Yes, there are no rules. But a cold machine is a cold machine. I fed $50 into quarter JOB and cashed out $2. I moved and hit a quad to recover most of the loss. But it would have been much more profitable to skip the cold cycle altogether. Approach each machine with caution. Be prepared to leave at -$20 on quarters. Definition of insanity is real.

Hot and cold machines exist. They are only hot or cold one hand at a time. Unfortunately, you only know if the machine is hot or cold until that hand is over.
I admit moving machines makes you feel better. It does for me. It works about the same as when it doesn't.

Beat more on the winning hands and less on the rest.

And yet, you have apparently had royals, but you're still playing?

I used to move after hitting a big hand myself. Since then, I have hit multiple quad aces and quad deuces on the same machine. I guess it was on one of those hot machines people talk about?
I have seen some amazing stuff in my years of play. About five years ago I was sitting next to a lady playing quarter double double bonus. We both were hitting quad after quad. She turned to me and said "We can't lose!". This made me shudder a bit. Suddenly she hit four aces with a kicker for $500 and left her machine. I moved over to her machine and switched to dollar play. About a minute later I was dealt a $4,000 royal flush. I still have the photo.

Smart man. The big tuna was still out there to be reeled in. I’m okay with hopping on a machine with a three figure payout. I was dealt a $125 quad today and I thought it was Christmas in July.

Nice one Phil smart move to switch to her machine, it would have been gained by someone else or lost to time

After an hour of banging away this machine only gave up one quad. Then...
