That sounds completely nonsensical. I'm going to need another source to confirm such madness. It's possible one place does something that dumb, but it can't be industry standard.
They are, in my opinion, absolutely clueless. Your value to the casino is not related to how often you get up and move, but on your total play. Why can't they see that, and stop penalizing a player who prefers to move around a bit, but still, overall, has significant coinin?
That's why I have to question the accuracy of this. Not that someone said it to tech58 (I certainly believe that), but whether it is actually common practice. Because I think this is the first time it has ever been mentioned on this forum and I've never seen it in a book.
Plus, I'm not sure I've ever put in more than $50 on a single machine without moving (I tend to move a lot or take turns playing with my spouse), but still got plenty of offers in the past. So it doesn't really mesh with my personal experience. Although I haven't gotten many offers lately, so it could also be a new thing with newer systems. I can't discount it completely, but I'm skeptical.
I should correct that. My last $100 every trip is set aside for potshots ($5 play or multi-line) so I do put in the full hundred at that point since it goes so quickly. But the coin-in on those tries is probably less since it's boom or bust. The rest of the time, I'm usually playing off a 20 or $40 at a time if I lose, and cashing out if I get something decent and taking a break or moving. Not because I feel like it's a better approach to winning, I just like the pace of it. We are relatively low budget gamblers, so it makes the visit last longer and doesn't feel like much of a "grind."
I see. That makes sense. At the end, you really want a nice payout for your travels. Damn the torpedoes, full hundred ahead. I’m prone to popping in that hundred on dollar, too. My problem is putting in fifty plus on quarters, which is way way too generous. Must hold it to twenty and move on!

Fair enough. Maybe Wildman can pump his host a little and see what he says.
I will ask him when he is active.

Clueless to be sure. But i believe this is very widespread and is mostly out of the hands of the hosts. The computer rules!!
Check it out with your host don't just reject it out of hand because it makes no sense.
