Need to clarify my last post OMT. You were, of course, not rejecting anything.
My crude wording was intended to challenge others to run there own trap-line and see what may be capping their comps .
Ask questions ,demand answers, find out what determines your comps. You deserve to know how you are rated. If your not happy with it vote with your feet like others are doing.
VP machines are being slowly down-graded, good machines are harder to find, is it any stretch to believe that player actions are under scrutiny and can generate countermeasures ?

I agree. I'd love to hear more experiences. Most of my offers have dried up lately, but I also haven't played as much. It's definitely possible things have changed on this front over the past several years. We could all benefit from knowing more about how it works.

Spot on Eduardo.
If more of us question them the clearer the deal will be.
My last conversation with the host he said specifically the session averaging by the computer program was to penalize hit&run play and that they were the " last casino to adopt this rating method". I don't know if he meant the last in the state, or the last indian casino, or what. But he definitely indicated it was in common use. This was about three years ago. Conversation ended in a pissing match so can't learn anything more from him.
I will plan another run at a different host,in the near future

Anyone out there with any casino exec friends that might shed some light on player rating systems?

Very interesting reply. They want to retain the masochists. Pure and simple.

A quest for knowledge is never "pure and simple".
Apparently you haven't traveled that road very often.

I don't really worry much about rating my play. If it's for the host to comp you I must be doing things right.

Tech you must have heard of the ol saying "don't bite the hand that feeds you" right? Them hosts have been very good to my wife and I. The last thing I would do is rattle there cage unless I was not getting what was fair.

The last show we saw (Tim McGraw) my wife and I added it up to be worth 2k retail. The suite 3 nights, 8 tickets, VIP tent with food and drink, plus food over the 4 days all comped. Two weeks later a steak house comp of $400 for my father in law's 80th birthday with 8 people.

I am just a small player $2.50 bets on average, some times bigger sometimes smaller. My wife plays smaller and did not make Diamond this round. I feel the value we get is thru the roof.

Let em rate away!
