Re: Double up attempt

For me, though I stray a bit sometimes, the worst game I can justify playing is 98.8 percent return. I can find this with Bonus Deuces Wild. If I run 20,000 dollars through this game in a session, I can expect to lose over time 240 bucks with perfect play per session. I can recover about .3 percent in free play or 60 bucks, 40 bucks in points I can use as cash for gas, and 20 bucks or so in food. That leaves about 120 or so as the cost of the so called free room. There are other things I am not counting that I rarely take advantage of line unlimited free golf, shows, nominal gifts, and a few special events. If one is looking for a money maker this is not it, but the entertainment cost is minimal. As always play must be perfect or the costs go up depending on how many mistakes are made. If you don’t have the stick to it bankroll, you will get screwed almost every time like I did the other night playing 5 bucks a hand all night then when bankroll gets low switch to a quarter game and hit a Royal for 1,000 bucks instead of 4,000 bucks. I know that switching to quarters lowers my cost per hour to play dramatically, but over the course of a year it just seems like the biggest hands seem to come in on the lower denomination games.

On my browser, the first picture showed being paid 400 coins on a pair of 7s. So long as you can get paid like that, no amount of extra money management rule is necessary. Congratulations!
The "pair of 7's" was the double up attempt that ended in a push. The original 400 ($2000) win was posted a few posts lower and was 4444A.

My browser showed the winning hand of 2's/3's/4's paying 400 credits. I too; was thinking that the pair of 7's was the push for the double up attempt. In so much as my first reply of "Phew." Was I wrong? Or, is Bob right?

I got the same 2 pics. I just realized that the first 7 was the dealer card and then the push on the second 7 all makes sense now

$20,000 coin in session is impressive. CET would love that. 400 TCs would get on their radar and generate some mailers, I’m sure.

Good hit and you got big pair of balls too! I would never play double up though the feature pays 100%.

Sorry for the confusion, the first pic was my double up attempt where I tied the dealer and then decided to take my 2k...the winning hand was actually 4 2s and a jack but that screen disappeared once I attempted the double up. I only posted the 4 4s and Ace because that win a few min earlier was the only reason I was willing to try and double up a handpay....one of these days I want to double up a royal and if I ever do I will certainly post pic and or video. I have found there are very few machines left (in my area the upper Midwest)that will let a player do this, however. Most lock up once a royal or a jackpot over 1200 has been won...the only places I know that have machines that allow these types of double ups are ...one machine at northern waters casino in watersmeet,MI...three old style coin machines at praires edge casino in granite falls,MN and a few rows of machines at northern lights casino Walker,MN
