It's "only" 80 bucks. Not the biggest deal, but I would certainly be upset even if it was $20. Those tickets should be as good as cash and they should have taken all steps necessary to either confirm or disprove your story, including going to video.

Like you said... you had the ticket. Under no circumstance should you have a ticket that was already cashed. So clearly there was a problem.

If they thought you were scamming them, they should have cared enough to prove it. If someone else is scamming them, they should have cared enough to prove it. If a machine malfunctioned, they should have cared enough to prove it.

I would take it up with someone higher up the chain. It's not just about the money, it's about how it was handled. And yes, you should get your $78.50 back at the end of the day along with an apology.

Totally mismanaged by the minions. Higher management was required to step in. I damn well would have demanded as much.

Years ago, I had a similar experience with a slot supervisor regarding a machine that did not hold a card after I had made sure the screen had it as held. It was for a $62.50 sf in DDB. They had a tech go back and look at what I was dealt. The supervisor basically said tough luck. That maybe 5-6 years ago in a casino not far from our home. My wife and I agreed we would not be back. Played a lot of VP after that but have never returned.

Turn on ur phone begin recording and threaten to call the cops and gaming commission, and the local TV news.

That's what I would do.

What casino was this?

I suspect you have a case for small claims court should you wish to pursue it. If a person has a ticket and it has never been out of his possession, it MUST still be valid.

going to small claims court has the likely result of you getting your money and the casino telling you you're not welcome there anymore because you're a pain in the ass. If you still want to go to court, make sure you redeem all of your slot club points and comp dollars before you do, as those just may be confiscated when they boot you.

There is always the chance that the Plaintiff could lose the case in small claims court.....

Weigh the risk vs. reward and then decide.

I'd rather not say, but it has been resolved to my satisfaction.
