Was wandering at the casino today and never thought it would happen where I play.
I went into the Ascend Bar, its about 18 months old. All the pay tables have been lowered. This bar opened with NSUD 99.73% JOB 99.54% BP 99.6% even DDB 99.96%.
Now JOB 8/5.... it's 9/5 at $1. I was shocked at this lowering. I am hoping this is not the norm and more in coming.
In any event with my change of play staying way from them newer machines. I been killing the NSUD. Not getting rich, but it stopped the getting wiped out on the new RNG machines.
Played 9,700 hands today and 2 more 4 deuces hit. Love the game.
Played NSUD 70% with JOB and BP 30%. $48,500 coin in. Still the Royal is not coming in. Been 3 months now thats awhile for me. Stuck at 16 for the year. No real plans for play till New Years Eve, might be it for 2019.
Never thought I would see it

Soaring Eagle is known to have the best VP in Michigan (and many other states). I also hope they don't get greedy and ruin a good thing.

Heard about the Ascend thing from another player. Was hoping he was wrong.
He also said the older slot manager retired and a new tighter plan is coming.
Their is probably more of this ahead Wildman.

The casinos in the Ct are not learning how to keep their loyal players. The hosts have gone to upper management and it has fallen on deaf ears. Both Ct casinos are bleeding about 5 percent a month in revenue yet they continue to drive their most loyal players with the largest bankrolls away. They continue to replace video poker with modern ultra bright penny machines that entice you to play 4 bucks a spin. Comps of all sorts have dried up. Paytables continue to be reduced. I have talked to a dozen or so loyal regular players like myself. Every player except one who hit the progressive on a penny machine, Is leaving between 25,000 and 200,000 each year myself included at the casino. Every one that I talked to has reduced their play drastically or just about quit altogether. Friday night at both casinos had the smallest crowd I ever remember seeing for a Friday. Eve n the table games have dealers standing there idle for hours. They have also either closed or cut back on the hours the lounge is open. All that does is make me either turn in earlier or go home. If I feel like a bowl of soup or a sandwich and coffee at 3 AM after playing 8-12 hours straight and can’t get it, I’m done. Even the waitresses on the floor really late at night have disappeared.

I am afraid that the bean counters are dominating mgt. decisions.
Revenue per square foot is king and even poor VP play is yielding less than their beloved slot schmucks.
More missing machines and lowered pay-tables to come
May be forced back to 21 soon.

I’m not going back there. Over 20 years ago at Foxwoods, the dealer had blackjack 11 out of 13 hands. I have never played since

I'm very sorry to hear that at the Soaring Eagle. It's a long drive from Indy but it's been the best vp anywhere near here. All the southern Indiana good vp has disappeared over the past several years.

Fascinating thread. Olds, your Foxwoods blackjack comment is my Tropicana VP conclusion. This much house winning is untenable and ludicrous on its face. I’m going back there, but safely zipping up BR as I walk in or out. Fool me once, shame on you, etc. I lost 33% of last visit’s disaster, but that was plenty. When you lose trust, you lose trust.
