We often discuss poor cruise ship casino play. I personally have always done well but Carrie/Doug just got back from a Carnival Cruise. New itinerary for the ship and she was crowned top winner since the ship began it new routes last year.
All machines were 10 coin play minimum so the jackpots doubled. These were the crown jewels of the multiple hand pays. Slow nights Saturday thru Tuesday but Wednesday and Thursday were special.
Started with this jewel $8000 Royal. You know the cliche, "diamonds are a girl's best friend"...
then the deuces for $4000:
the next night to her "hearts delight" at $16,000:
followed by deuces #2 for $4000:
Casino of course treated her and hubby to multiple dinners and at the end of the trip gave her a personal casino cruise host to schedule future Carnival cruises. Way to go Carrie.

WTG Carrie. BTW, over multiple cruises we are about even or possibly ahead. I don't keep detailed records so just a guesstimate.

Wow! Great going. To top it off that is I believe the worst paytable I have ever seen for deuces wild. I didnt look it up but it must be in the low 90s. 10/8/4/3/2/2/1.

It looks to be a magnificent 91.4% game, supporting the contention that cruise ship video poker pay tables are horrid. But, if you're lucky enough to hit some big hands, it doesn't matter.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2020 9:55 pmWow! Great going. Great result on a lousy game!

Interesting question stephmo. Their casinos only open at sea so i believe no W2G.
Another interesting question. I hope she took a check because re-entering US. with over $10,000 can be a bit dicey.
I dodged that bullet many years ago. After very good luck at 21 in The dominican Republic my junket-master told me it was best to split it up, so my buddy carried half back for me. I did not consider a check from that country.
Wonder what she did?

Nice win. It seems at least 3 jackpots happened on the last 100 credits.
Playing VP for a single session can be heaven or hell. Playing that bad schedule will bring you a lot more hell experience.

Carrie undoubtedly got a W2G. I think I posted this a few years ago so excuse the repetition. My wife and I, playing a few hands late at night hit a $1202 progressive while on a Princess cruise off the coast of Mexico well out to sea. We were issued a W2G even though the ship was foreign registered. The cruise originated and ended at the Port of LA. Princess is owned by Carnival, a US Company. Not sure what the policy is on other lines where there is no US connection.
