Hmm...need for luck implies desperation. "Premise" of the site- in this context- is concerned with improving skill independent of luck. What this site cannot help you with is getting a lucky (or any other) royal flush on "first" deal.

I've gotten a couple in my hundreds of thousands of chances. Pretty rare

My first Royal was at Union Plaza, maybe 30 plus years ago. It was a quarter machine and paid $1195 for the royal, so no paperwork. But, it was the progressive at an Indian casino that really made me love poker. Quarters again, paid $11,000 on the progressive when I hit. Don't see those high progressives any more. I play fast, follow the rules and have probably hit 20 or 30 Royals through the years. Have had 2 or 3 dealt to me. Looking forward to my return to Vegas this month, another Royal would be nice.

I loved reading this! I'll never forget the first dealt Royal Flush. It was spades at the poker machine near the fireplace on the first floor of Ameristar in Blackhawk, Colorado. Been back to same machine many times, but never happened again!

It happens when you least expect it. It's very rare but it does happens.
Good luck

I had one once in Aruba on a nickel machine about 20 years ago in the hotel we were staying in. Hit another one later that day on the same machine. Gave them back by the end of the trip. Both were 9/6 Job nickel machines. Can’t find those anymore where I play.

Played many hands of video poker in my life but never hit a royal on a single/triple hand/five hand/ten hand game ever! Would relish it, even if it was only worth a couple hundred bucks just to say I hit one.
