Very disappointed to find that Mohegan Sun in Ct is opening as of this moment on 6/1. That in itself is bad enough considering the many new cases and deaths we are still having in Ct, but then I find out and it didn’t make the news that smoking will be allowed even though masks are required. People also allowed to drop their masks if they are drinking anything. So I already know what will happen. The covons as I call them will walk around all day with their mask dropped and a smoke in one hand and drink in the other. As they booze up it will get worse especially into the night as the invincible younger crowd rolls in to hit the clubs and bars. No thanks Mohegan Sun. I will just hang on to the 50k or so a year I have been leaving with you the last 8 years or so.

I just watched the vidro OTB. No masks required. Bad decision IMO. Mohegan Sun has instituted even more measures like a UV system for air filtration and a few other things, but what good is it if masks aren’t required once you get in and decide to smoke or drink? They gave full coverage on the news to Mohegan Sun and their safety precautions, but never even mentioned they are allowing smoking. The governor is very upset they are opening on 6/1 but never even mentioned the smoke. I’m afrajd it is all just about the money both the tribe and the state government. I noticed in the video you linked to smoking was not mentioned either.

When the casinos in AC reopen, I can't see how they all make it. Ultimately maybe 4 or 5 survive out of 7.If that many.

On top of everything else, here is a screenshot from a news article today from Apple News. It is a long article and I don’t know how to posr a link. It has to do with how the CDC came up with the 6 foot rule. You may not even want to read it.

From what I've been researching, 27' is the proper distance. Personally I don't wear a mask due to the evidence they actually make you sicker. I would if I had symptoms, but then again I would just stay home as well. Let's face it, no one really knows anything about this debacle.

Huh? how can a mask make you sicker?
A lot is known about this pandemic but not everything.
One thing that is known is that smoke from a smokers lungs can carry the virus!!
For casinos to open with no concern for this, and not even a warning at the door, borders on criminal!

Breathing in your own germs you have exhaled, breathing in CO-2 you have just exhaled, moisture inside the mask is a good breeding ground for germs, and finally, a reduction in your oxygen level in your blood resulting from the above. The longer you wear it, the more the above applies.

Seems to me your germs are your germs nothing new there. CO-2 is in every breathe you take.
I have not heard anything before about reduction in O-2 but it seems to make sense and i will try to learn more about that thanks Old's.

But you want to get rud of the CO-2 not take a percentage back in. Kinda the same with the germs except the warmth and moisture factor kicks in which makes more of them over time. That’s why even the N95 masks are designed for a single use. There is a lot more about this all over the net and different medical experts disagree on some of rhe details coughs and sneezes can expel lots of germs and they are part of the bodies way of getting rid of unwanted things. You don’t want to take all of that stuff back in again. One of the most dangerous things though is that without a mask, a sneeze can cause the contaminated droplets to travel 27 feet, a cough 16 feet, and as to normal breathing, the numbers are all over the place due to size of the droplets, wind currents, humidity, etc
