True AP. Any person who can take the Hippocratic Oath upon graduation from Med. school and then perform an abortion, and murder, a perfectly viable human being is NOT a doctor he IS a butcher!!
Also any woman who initiates this procedure is more than an accessory to murder.
The leftist nut-cases who have forced this upon our formerly rational legal system can jam their womens productive rights crap some where North of their knees!!

Fort McDowell has an extensive protocol concerning steps being taken. I called them since there was nothing regarding patron smoking. I found out that smoking is still permitted in smoking areas even though they ae encouraging guests to wear masks. If you are interested, here is a link to their FAQ/protocol page which is quite extensive and detailed. I should note that Gila River Casinos are "allowing space for non-smoking slot areas." Only one of their three previously had a small non-smoking area. Here is the link to the Fort's page: http://www.fortmcdowellcasino.com/index.php/fort-faqs
I should add, I am not going anytime soon. The guy at McDowell said there was a 2 hour wait to get in. Lines elsewhere as well. Unless you go in the middle of the night, you are talking about being outside in up to 100 + degrees this weekend and a hot sun even if it's in the 90s. I'll stay coo in my a/c at home and play here.

the last time i went to the casino was before the virus panic really set in. i wanted to avoid people and reduce my chances of contracting the disease. i decided to go at 2am and it was great. i am retired, can come and go as i please (as long as the wife says it is ok), very few people, less of a chance of getting infected, play any machine when ever i wanted. stayed 5-6 hours. i will do it again.
if one is bothered by smokers, go at times when few people are there. and, if one takes precautions like i do and wear a mask, the combination of wearing the mask and very few folks in the casino, including smokers at 2am, i find it hard that the smoke would be that much of a bother or hazard. certainly, no worse than walking outside in any major city downtown, during rush hour. and, millions of folks do this everyday for their entire lives.

I'm not for or against abortion, but just think about how many more hundreds of thousands of those leftist nut-cases would be in this country if abortion was outlawed.tech58 wrote: ↑Fri May 15, 2020 5:18 pmTrue AP. Very good point JS. Genetics has to be in play somehow in the proliferation of leftists.

As an ex-smoker, I totally understand the smokers. Hell, I'd go through close to 2 packs while on the same machine for 8 hours or more!OTABILL wrote: ↑Fri May 15, 2020 1:24 pmNo one wants to ostracize anyone, at least I don't, but according to the CDC, smokers in the US have a lifespan about 10 years less than non-smokers. My issue is second hand smoke. I could care less if someone wants to smoke as long as they keep the exhaust from their lungs to themselves. I don't believe smoking should be allowed in confined public places such as casinos. That includes tobacco, marijuana, etc. You are not allowed to intentionally spit or cough in someone's face, pee on their shoes, defecate on a public sidewalk or drive drunk. The same should be applied to emitting smoke where it can enter someone else's lungs.notes1 wrote: ↑Fri May 15, 2020 12:24 pmi did NOT say smoking was good for anyone. i just pointed out info that seemed interesting. is it not possible that smokers have developed something that protects them from the virus?
no doubt that smoking is bad for folks, but it is not the root of all evil. and, smokers need not be ostracized, as long as they do there habit where it is allowed only.
But that said, now I can't stand the smell. There are non-smoking areas at the Tampa Hard Rock but not enough poker machines, so I play in the smokers area. And it gripes the hell out of me when a smoker sits down next to me and holds his cigarette in the hand closest to me! The smoke from it never fails to waft my way! And I do think they should not allow cigar smoking at the machines.

Congratulations RJ for quitting. I understand that if an ex-smoker makes it 5-7 years they are "clear" with normal life expectancy. Anyone know if that is true?

Congrats on quitting. Have heard that reaction from others. I would avoid the smoking section as much as possible. Second hand smoke is a killer. Why subject yourself to it.rayj wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2020 8:18 amAs an ex-smoker, I totally understand the smokers.
