nationalism, again

months ago, there was a lively discussion about nationalism on this forum. some tried to turn it into a racial argument. for supporters of nationalism, it was never about race, but rather about taking care of one's own country.

my prediction is that we are about to see a dramatic uptick in nationalism, around the globe. every country is worried about their industrial and tax base and whether it will survive after the worldwide shutdown and the likely recession, that will follow. workers need jobs to go back to, countries will want to protect their major employers, there will be a move to buy more from one's own country, rather than save a buck and buy elsewhere. and, citizens of these countries, who are facing shortages of their own needs, will not want to be dependent upon others, for important needs. and, the country that will really pay the price....china.

any of this sound familiar, this has been trump's vision from the beginning. and, you watch, every country will be trying to do the same, when this is over.

i find it remarkable how many issues he has been ahead of anyone else. items that we just accepted that nothing would change, he has made progress. from getting NATO members to pay more, forcing china to buy more products from us, reducing regs/rules, getting 2 younger scotus members, hundreds of conservative federal judges including on the 9th circuit, redoing nafta, employment gains in every category and so on.

and, it might be my imagination, but he keeps making the dems look bad. from the schumer shutdown, the kavanaugh hearings, mueller investigation and impeachment, each liberal action has been a failure and made them appear petty.

this cannot just be coincidence. he has shortfalls but great instincts.

After hearing today what China did I’m hoping things will change even more. The report was they had their corporations around the world buying supplies in other countries to protect themselves with the virus. Then they shipped it back home before it basically hit. They bought up all the PPE, masks, gowns, face shields etc. This was done while they lied about the virus and got a head start. Guess Australia was wiped out as well as a few others including some supplies in the US. This is NOT just poor planning on everyone’s part, they helped it along. More and more the virus looks released. It’s not like they wouldn’t kill some of their own to do it, they already kill their own.

since trump was elected, one group (won't name them, so they are not offended) has spent every moment and millions of dollars, saying our biggest worry is russia. even mueller's report that not a single american colluded with russia, has stopped that same group.

in the meantime, trump has been pointing out that china is our biggest risk. now, we have covid 19, from china. he was right again.

i am beginning to wonder why that party that supports china, continues to do so. could there be a whole bunch of hunter biden types, who are making money from china? let's see if the media does some investigating.

google, chinese wet markets, if you want to read what is likely the source of the cornavirus. chinese authorities have stated these markets have been shut down, but reports keep coming from china, that they still exist and are reopening.

these open air markets might be the horrendous, cruel, inhumane, barbaric, filthy sources of fresh food i have ever read about. do not read if you have a weak stomach. live animals of all kinds (some you would never eat and never heard of), are stacked on top of one another, butchered on the spot and the blood is in intermingled. no wonder it is a disease incubator. and, no wonder the chinese government likely pays to keep stories about these places from the general public.

globalism is just great. where are the real reporters.

US intelligence agencies have concluded that china has consistently LIED about the covid 19 virus. a number of officials characterized china virus numbers as 'false'. the virus came from their country, they lied and are still lying about the virus details and they are running a worldwide propaganda campaign, blaming the virus on the usa.

and, what makes it worse is that the medical community and scientists worldwide have been relying on chinese numbers to make recommendations for their own country.

the whole world knew china was lying all along, long before this report was released. yet, i have watched repeatedly, as the MSM has consistently reported (sometimes with glee) that the usa has more cases of the virus, than china. they seem to willingly to believe and promote china's known lies, if it makes trump look bad. they would have never done the same thing, trusting china, if obama was president.

those who refuse to see media bias or are offended by the mention of liberal or conservative, are just kidding themselves or the enjoy seeing the lies, because it promotes their way of thinking.
