How many hours over this 2 year period? Saying 2 years means nothing. I could say the same thing, but in reality, only played 20 minutes total time.
Good question. Over that time period, I went to the casino a minimum of one day each week. I also played on numerous video poker vacations. One of them was to Reno where I played NSU one dollar at a time. I don't know the exact number of hands I played as I have no interest in that knowing that number. I only recorded my starting and ending numbers. I estimate I played at least a quarter million hands of VP each year or a total of a half million hands. None of the games I played were positive. They ranged from 96% to about 99%. I did not count comps. I mixed my play with about 99% at single coin and the rest at max coins. I played single line quarter, 50 cent, dollar and $5 dollar games. The majority of my winning results came from pot shots. Photos of my major wins were posted on this forum. They are still in my computer. At one time, I had posted about $17,000 in wins. My profit at the end of the two years was a little less than $2,000.

I am not sure if a half million hands is anywhere near Gronbog's long term number. You will have to ask him. I suspect it's more hands than most casual players see in ten years. I don't know if anyone on this forum played more hands than I did over that time. If they did, were their results better or worse than mine? We will never find out.

So what if you are a player who only goes to the casino once a year? Do the odds of the games you play dictate your results? Does your accuracy? Can you lose playing advantage games perfectly?

This has already been answered many times, and nobody is in disagreement about it. There is no point in asking again. Enough.

You must be pretty young Wildman. 8-10 hours of .25 JOB. I couldn't do that at 68. I can do maybe 3 hrs at a time
I am going to be 59 years young in a few weeks.

Look it's a grind for the most part. It's like a job. It's not easy or everyone would be doing it. I go to the casino now to make money. Some might think it's fun lucky you. I am not there for rec play. AP play takes a whole lot of fun out of what the casino is to be and that is entertainment.

I guess for me it's like a hunter looking for game. When he kills the beast he gets his fix. I am not a hunter even with deer hunting every fall here in Michigan. My hunt is the promo and my fix is getting entrees to the promo and getting my name drawn.

The is never a guarantee of profit week to week or even month to month. Over a year one should be able to do it if their willing to put in the time.

Going to a casino a minimum of one day a week and playing half a million hands, single line, in a period of two years makes you more than a "casual player."

Just my opinion.

That would apply to me. Like Wildman, I too go to the casino to find positive plays, but as a hobby, not to pay the bills. Have had good results since keeping records around 2003 or so. Unlike Phil, if all I had at my local casino were 97 or 98% games, I would find something else to do.

This is really inspiring!

I think smart players can benefit, because 99% of players are giving it back to the casino. that 1% has the edge, because the casino IS giving cash away.
