Not at all. You mentioned how brutal days bother you and the way not to be bothered is use these days to buy. You know buy low sell high. I like seeing the market down as it is time to spend.

Speaking of down markets watch Monday and have some money ready.

Ditto that. You made a good call on buying Disney. I already had it. I don’t mind catching a falling knife as long as it doesn’t nail me to a wooden table. I will be watching too. Could be wrong, but still think the market is still overheated. I’m watching PRU. I was able to trade it several times last year. Still too high for now. IMO. It may be a long wait, but I’m waiting for the 80s. If I screw up, I can still catch their nearly 5 percent Dividend while I wait. That’s why I like it. I’m also watching Key Corp that I traded last year. That would be another watch and wait dividend play. One more own and wait dividend play. BGS. 7 percent Div. Currently, just collecting on that one. As to Disney, had I not been involved is a closing last November where I was the one that had to spend, I would have added to my position. Priced in the 80s, it was a good time to catch it and you did Case. 👍

My Fed and State returns went in last week. Uncle Sam will be jumping in the streets as will the Gov of Ct. unfortunately, Bizarroworld CEO will be dancing as well with my Vp play the last few months. 😬

Mixed bag Friday. Less severe loss, but quadless and joyless.

Olds, PRU has had a good year. I also swing trade a few nice dividends and collect the dividends if I am wrong for awhile.

I bought a falling knife recently just to trade down the road.VFC Just bought at 13.00 and is still dropping. I will buy some more Monday if it is still down. My trade will be at 16.50 if it gets there. Not huge but reasonable. I also have a stop loss set at 11.10

Key will rebound eventually. You’re playing it safe, right down the middle. I own Keysight, whose P/E is almost double.

Key is a good one to buy on a slump and dump on a 2 point move up. Nice nearly 6 percent div. I haven’t considered vfc, but I have an old Timberland winter coat that I can’t kill. Love it when I have to shovel snow. Yuck. I probably wouldn’t buy Keysight because there is no dividend play backup. It’s just me, but if I’m going to pull money from a nearly 5 percent money market account, I’ve gotta have a backup
Dividend failsafe. Sometimes I’m happy with moves of just a couple of points. I have one closed end fund that I’ve had since 1993. AWF. It’s long since free with its 8 percent div and is sitting right where I bought it over 30 years ago at 10. I even put a little of it in my IRA so it can compound tax free. High interest rates will knock it down more. It’s a global bond fund. I’ll add to it when and if I think interest rates will peak. I never got sucked in to thinking the Fed would cut in the first half of this year. Grocery store prices are still ridiculous as are Housing cost, and many other things. Gasoline has been creeping up for a while too. I can’t see a fed rate cut anytime soon. Fidelity has been creeping up their CD rates as well. Since I’m not buying stocks right now, I probably will pick up another one year cd. maybe this week. 5.4%! Brokered cd through Fidelity. ( Chase ). FDIC insured at least.
Case, I hope your stop loss doesn’t kick this week. It could be a rough and tumble one.

One thing I can never get through my thick head. We wait all year hoping for a maybe 10 percent gain in the market. Yet I go to the casino with a 1,000 bankroll limit and never quit when I am 100 bucks ahead at some point in a session. That’s 10 percent in a day. Never mind a year. Nearly every session I am up 100 at some point.
