Wildman, hope you, Mrs. Wildman and family are safe and doing well.
Bill we are both fine. I live 20 miles east of Midland so high and dry. I do have coworkers who live near the flooding and worried about there property . Some have not made it to work ,many roads and bridges out.

Here's a new before and after satellite image. On the right, I circled what used to be Wixom Lake.

Seeing peoples houses floating away after a lifetime of building and living brought a tear actually more than one to my eye and that isn’t easy to do with me. Hope the folks involved will be ok and be able to safely get on with their lives and rebuild sonewhere with help hopefully. To top it all, dealing with the virus and living in shelters at the same time.

I'm not sure I understand this. The picture on the left is before any of this happened, and the one on the right shows, in the yellow circle, the area that was flooded, and the water has now receded?

What I circled is what was the man made lake. It's a giant mud pit now.

I also incorrectly called it Wixom Lake. That's further north and where the dam broke. This one is Sanford Lake.

Yes both dams failed and the lakes are empty of water. Very sad going to be awhile if ever to see them full of water again.

I'm 37 miles from Sanford. We are good. All that water is making it's way to the Saginaw River, so we've got a lot of people staying at the High Schools here. Nothing like Midland and Sanford.
