Videopoker.com Players Unite on Facebook
After receiving Webman's consent earlier today, I'd like to extend an open invitation to all members of videopoker.com to my Facebook group. Recently I've become the Co-Administrator of the Facebook group "VideoPoker.com Players Unite." It's a casual group where we have a mix of novice, intermediate, and experienced players who play online at videopoker.com and at casinos. It's a private group which is easy to join: just log in to Facebook (or set up an account if you aren't already a member) and search for the group in the title. Request to join group, you'll answer some easy questions and we'll admit you into the group. Advertising and soliciting are not allowed and political discussions are frowned upon. We welcome casual video poker discussion, topics and stories. We love to see any pictures/videos involving video poker, especially JACKPOTS! This is mainly a recreational player group but insight and tips from advantage players are not discouraged. We just don't need the 60 page analytical actuary tables from The Wizard of Odds type of explanations. We just want to have fun with a game we love to play. Welcome in advance!

Sounds interesting though everyone should be forewarned that their true identities, at least in my case, would be revealed. I belong to a number of FB groups where blatantly political posts unrelated to the group's raison d'etre are banned and removed. I would strongly urge that policy rather than merely "frowned upon". BTW, who is the other co-administrator?

The other admin is another long time member here as well, "Luvslyfe." She needed some help and I volunteered. Bill, it's a very low key group which honestly needs to be livened up. We will delete and warn posters, and if necessary block those who get into political arguments. However, we'll allow constructive political discussion as it pertains to the gaming industry.

Sounds good. My only hesitation is that my FB profile is wide open. Thus anybody, not just personal friends can peruse it, Need to think about whether to restrict it.damule wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 2:05 pmThe other admin is another long time member here as well, "Luvslyfe." I'm not an expert on Facebook privacy settings, but there are ways to only allow your profile to be accessed by those you allow. You can set privacy at various levels for different groups.OTABILL wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 2:49 pmSounds good. My only hesitation is that my FB profile is wide open. It's a closed group - that means that only members of the group can see your posts. It's a good group -been there for a long time. Mostly people are posting their big hits. Some asking for advice. Now that Vegas and local casinos have opened up, I do hope the posts start to include what people are finding when visiting newly opened casinos.
