This is the worst place for video poker players. Look at these pay schedules.
Not sure how they complete with other casinos in AC if they offer bad games only.
4 aces or 4 eights pays only 125 instead of 400. This version returns 97%
97% deuces & joker
The best game there is 9/5 Triple Triple Bonus which pays 98.6%.

I posted a picture last year of that same A's & 8's pay table that Motorcity Casino has. Quarters is 7/5 and $2 is 8/5.

These casino managers are really dumb. They want to make money faster but then don't know player retention is even more sustainable than being greedy.

Would have to admit that the machines would not be there if nobody played them.
Have heard(correct me if i am wrong) that the average casino hold on VP is 3-4%.
That takes a lot of bad pay-tables and/or bad play.
Those players are keeping the games there for us to play.
I see it all the time. Someone playing 7-5 JOB on a machine that is 50 feet from a 9-6 and not having a clue.
Bless their souls.

Every machine must earn its keep. Even if it’s only electricity upkeep. GN should be an afterthought for all serious AC VP players. The GN dabblers must drop some serious bank! Hey, the restaurants were nice.

Only reason to go to Golden Nugget AC is for the Happy Hours at Chart House and Vic and Anthony's steak house. Otherwise, a dump.

Been a while since I've been there. It's disappointing if that's the best they have. I remember they had some decent VP at both bars, although it would cost you ($1+). And you could count on some low table minimums.
I guess the best thing is a nice walk from Harrah's (IMO) to take a break and the aforementioned Happy hour. Will check it out next time there.
Thanks for the update.

Well, with our governor, it may be a while before indoor dining is up and running again. Chart House HH starts at 4 and you can get a table with a nice view of the marina and skyline.

That's how I feel about Harrah's, resigned to it. They bumped the full pay machines to dollar games. I got over the sticker shock, though it took a while. Pretty enjoyable venue. Always seems to be hopping on weekends with that amazing pool of theirs. You must play very slowly to avoid being soaked with the VP.
