New Games

Post by Webman »

We have a special surprise for everyone... a chance to play two new games before they even hit the casino floor!
Be sure to try out Super Times Pay Spin Poker™ and Double Pay Spin Poker™ today and share your thoughts.

Play Super Times Pay Spin Poker™

Play Double Pay Spin Poker™

Spin Poker provides a great "cross-over" game for poker and slot players. Super Times Pay adds a mystery multiplier event that players can’t seem to get enough of. The two combined make Super Times Pay Spin Poker™ a game players will immediately recognize and surely play for hours.

Double Pay Spin Poker™ takes the wildly successful Spin Poker and adds the great gambling "feel" of Double Pay Poker where players get paid on the deal AND the draw. The blend of these two is a very high hit frequency game that has a great gamble on every hand.

If Double Pay Spin Poker is as loose as the simulation, it'll take forever to find a vacant penny machine on a Saturday night. But it'll be worth the wait.

I found this game to be frustrating and boring. Boring after playing for a while, it wasn't great fun. Frustrating because too many times the hand I would have liked to save was not on the middle line. Could a game be made where you chose whichever line.

Also, when you drew all three hands and got paid a lot of points, it was frustrating to have to pick only the middle and not be able to save the board just as it was on all three hands . . . maybe a a reduced score.

Allow me to make a few observations:First, I must make the disclaimer that the Spin Poker games are not really my thing.  I know a lot of people favor them but I tend to prefer the standard multi-hand payout as opposed to the multiple line combinations which are harder to follow. However, I could not resist giving these games a shot since I saw the "exclusive preview" and just had to see for myself before they are on casino floors.I played both games for a while, and apparently did not have as much luck as others who have posted here.  I faired well in one sitting but not in others.  Double Pay was where I had the most luck, but I guess you can't win them all.I'll give my thoughts on the two games seperately:Super Times Pay Spin:The addition of the multiplier is interesting. Clearly this game should always be played with the Max Bet button or you simply do not get the benefits of the paytable. If it is balanced to have a slight favor to the casino overall as most games are (slot club aside), that balance would be far heavier if betting without the multiplier. Assuming break-even play, with the multiplier at 1/15 hands as it states on the pay table and an average of 4.05 multiplication, you certainly must play with that extra bet to capitalize. Though it costs you a coin to activate that multiplier, it is a must-do situation I believe. 1/15 times 4.05 is .27. So if you were breaking even on 100 hands at 5 coins (500 total), betting an extra coin for the multiplier would cost you another 100 coins. But you would earn an average of .27 more on your winnings. At break-even play those winnings would be 500 so your actual winnings would then be 500 times 1.27 or 635. You are only better 600 so at break-even play you are then getting 635 return instead of 600.Now, that is assuming break-even play which of course is determined by a newly balanced paytable.  I do not know the odds of break-even play on these machines but nonetheless, I think this proves that better the multiplier is far to you benefit vs. playing the same game without betting the multiplier. The effects are actually far greater I think than the +35 example I outline above, since a zero hand would lose five credits but that loss is never multiplied, whereas a big winning hand would be multiplied far greater than any loss. I would like to see the actual expected payouts over time for this game if someone here knows how to calculate those. On to Double Pay Spin:This game is more straight-forward although I still can not get my brain around whether the paytables are more or less in favor of the casino.  Again I assume the paytable are chosen carefully to just slightly favor the casino and perhaps do slight justice to the player if they are playing perfectly with a slot club card or the like. If someone knows how to perform these calculations I would love to hear it.I did better at this game than Super Times Spin in my short sittings but as far as enjoyment it was marginally lower. It was fun having the "extra" payout on the deal but I prefer to "hold my own fate" in my hands and get a payout after the hold, even though it is still a matter of chance of course.  That is a matter of personal preference and I can see how people would get extra enjoyment out of two seperate payout opportunities.I must admit that I did enjoy both of these game after playing them for a while, and should I ever choose to play a Spin game, I would likely choose one of these versions over regular Spin Poker simply for the additional "fun factor." That would of course depend on what I learn about expected payouts.

I was always a huge fan of Double Pay so I'm pumped to see it back on Spin Poker.  And I love Super Times Pay.

I'm with jojo1974 - these are really fun versions of Spin Poker.

Hoochie Mama!  Thank you for the early look at these games!I had some real fun. I didn't see this message the other day and I am glad I checked. Now back to 100 play where I seem to be stuck.  I need to learn more about spin strategy before I get into these ones very much but I will keep checking them out. Good times!

Just played my first dbl pay game in at Harrah`s Lake Tahoe Last Friday. Lots of fun and only being a nickle play I was on that machine several hours. Only reason I moved on was a lady? on a slot near me was a screamer!!  every hit on that machine and she let out a squeal that would put an car alarm to shame!
Back on topic...the dble pay spin poker was fun for a bit. The high max bet, even though I understand it was for a total of 18 hands, was to much. The payout was too confusing and I found myself playing at a very slow pace trying to watch that. I`m not sure the stop spin button has any effect on your final cards. Does the RNG stop when you hit draw?

STP Spin Poker was pretty much the same experience. Fun for a bit but I couldn`t play it long term. I felt the multiplier didn`t show often enough here even with the optimal pay back..so I guess you would see it less often in a casino setting. As with the other game trying to see what paid was confusing.

Would I play them in the casino?  I don`t think so.  I`ll stick with 3/5 play ddbl bonus for serious play and straight slots for fun.

These new games are FUN!  I am enchanted with double pay Spin, love the pay scale for the "shadow" game, but I find myself going too fast to enjoy the payouts on the first screen.  The best Spin Poker game I've found was at Balleys in LV, it is a quarter game located near the entertainment.  I hope these new games start showing up soon in LV, it would be a nice break from DDBP.
