Anti-mask morons help fund Black Lives Matter

Post by billryan »

After watching an anti-mask moron make a fool of himself trying to claim a religious exemption from wearing a mask, two Baltimore youths had a brainstorm.
Cobbling together a website and putting listings on ebay, amazon and Etsy, they started selling cerificates claiming the bearer of the card was exempt from wearing masks due to the religious exemptions of the 1966 Civil Rights law. They won't say how many of the $12 cards they have sold since mid-July, but they are approaching 500 feedbacks on ebay.
All proceeds, after expenses, go to funding transportation to black lives matter events.
As most intelligent people know, there is no 1966 Civil Rights law, nor does any law exempt you from wearing a mask because of religious beliefs.

Hmmm... denigrating someone's religious beliefs AND extolling the "virtues" of someone committing fraud. If your point is that people on both sides of a lot of issues make questionable choices, then I'm in full agreement with you. ;)

Bill, even though I'm guessing we have different viewpoints on many topics, I'm glad to see that you are back posting again, particularly on vp-related topics.

I wo\n't be playing VP anytime in the near future. I doubt I'll step foot in a casino until next spring and playing for funsies never appealed to me.
When someone shows me a religion that prohibits wearing a mask in a pandemic, I'll worry about their religious beliefs.
I'm not sure I would call it fraud. I sell Star Fleet Academy diplomas on ebay when I have them in stock.
Is that fraud?
