I watched Rainman when it was first on premium cable and was very unimpressed. I believe Hoffman pushed for the movie for many years, originally wanting to play the younger brother role, but I didn't care for the whole idea.

I just watched Rainman the other night. There are too many for me to list. One of my favorite tv channels is This tv. Since my dad is now in assisted living, we pulled the crazy high cable bill at his house. I get about 25 totally free channels over there with a ten buck Walmart antenna. My house is just 3 miles from dads, so for down time I go there to watch for free my new favorite channel This TV that I don’t get at home. Caught the original 007 movies recently too. It also pulls in public tv. Overall, I watch very little tv, but have watched Young Frakenstein and The Good, The bad, and The Ugly more times than I can count. If it wasn’t for the Girls in my house who watch Stuff I would never watch in a million years, I would have no cable bill at all. I wonder how many know how many channels you can pull in for free if you live fairly close to a city. Even your local news stations. It bugs me no ed to have at home cable bill higher than my original mortgage. Add to that the cell phone bill for the three of us that is also higher than my first mortgage was.
