But my 401K has gone up. Isn't that what really counts? It's nice to talk about democracy and equality but that stuff costs me money. Will good manners put food on my table?
Evidently, there is a significant portion of the American people who will stand by and allow our nation to be raped and ravaged as long as they personally see some reward from it.
Lets hear from some trump fans about the debate?

I vote Trump mainly because he is PRO LIFE ! abortion is murder incorp. these babies have a heart beat ,brain waves ! in late term I heard it said some babies are heard screaming in pain as they r murdered !!seemoreroyals wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 5:08 amTo olds, AP and other trump supporters:
How can you in good conscious support trump, who essentially is telling us all if I win the election, it is legitimate. If I lose, the election is rigged and I am going to do everything possible to shred the American election process which is the hallmark of our democracy, and I am going to go to the supreme court to try to hold on to power?
Additionally he is lying to the American people about the mail in voting process. Which he himself uses to vote, and what millions of other of us really would like to have available to us to vote this year in light of the pandemic we are going through. He is also threatening to send his supporters to the polling places to harass potential voters. He may not do it directly, but how is it going to look with Proud Boys and other trump youth thugs hanging out with guns while people wait in line to vote?
Our current president has said he would not support a peaceful acceptance of the election results. If you look at the sum total of the last nearly four years trump has been an abysmal failure. The only thing he has been really good at is lying, BSing, being divisive and pouring gas on our racial inequality problem that we have had for a long time. I could go on an go into detail of trump's mishandling of the coronavirus and other trump failures but for now I would like to remind anyone that is reading this including those that don't actively post, how important it is to vote.

I agree AP that abortion is a terrible thing and if possible I would encourage a family to look at other options. Where I disagree with you is that a woman and her family should have the right to choose. I guarantee just about any politician or supreme court justice for that matter would not want to have the government stick their nose in if they are confronted with an unplanned pregnancy.

Why should the government "stick their nose in" if I have an unplanned neighbor move in that I'd like to kill?seemoreroyals wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 12:17 pmI agree AP that abortion is a terrible thing and if possible I would encourage a family to look at other options. Edit: I mean, ask my wife to kill. Because it's a woman's choice.
This of course is always the trouble with the abortion issue. If the baby has rights, then you can't kill the child. Even if you support a woman's right to choose. The other side of argument seems to ignore the baby completely and doesn't see it as a human being until born.
I can see both sides. But obviously I have a strong opinion about which one I agree with.
And for the record, I don't think Donald Trump is "Pro-Life" at all. He doesn't care about unborn babies. He only holds that position because he knows his base is wild about it.
He was decidedly Pro-Choice in the 90's. I wonder what happened to change that view. Hmmm....
Of course, some don't care WHY he is pro-life now, as long as his policies support that view. Which they do, quite strongly. So if this is the single most important issue to you and you can look past all of the other reasons NOT to vote for Trump, then he's probably the right choice.

Eduardo is correct. Trump was pro-choice for many years until he decided to run for president and realized he needed the pro-life folks on his side.
Same thing with immigration. He realized immigration was a hot button issue for a potential base and so, wonders of wonders, he became totally anti-immigration.
I'm not sure if he was anti-rudeness and anti-bulls&it before he ran for president and became pro. Bill Ryan, you know?

TRUMP came to his senses and seen abortion for what it is ,MURDER ! If a women is killed by thugs while pregnant , the thugs are charged for 2 murders ! why ,because the child in her womb by law is a living and breathing person as the child also is when suctioned and chopped to bits and then flushed down the toilet bowl ! tough and truthful description !!

I agree with you, other than the part about Trump coming to his senses. The man has no convictions, other than self-love. His opinions change with the wind, to whatever it takes for "his people" to give him the admiration he believes he deserves.

Early on, about 180 years ago,as a newbie politician biden was a supporter of KKK members and other dem's who fought tooth-and-nail against civil rights legislation and only switched sides when they checked the wind direction and saw blacks as a voting block for the taking. Their anti viewpoints are intact to this day.felix wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 12:55 pmEduardo is correct. How the dem's have been able to hide this baggage from the past is a mystery.

Around 2002 or so, I attended a limo conference held at the Taj. After years of holding it there, the conference was scheduled to move to the Trop but then donny offered to waive his $100,000 per speech fee and give the keynote speech.felix wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 12:55 pmEduardo is correct. The place was packed, standing room only and donny started out strong, talking about The Apprentice and how he wanted Friends type money, when he suddenly went into a trianwreck. Using unbelievable language, including call Marla Maples a C--T, he went into a tirade about how your wife will screw you, your partners will screw you, your employees will screw you, only he didn't say screw. A woman sitting up front got up and stormed out and trump asked Who does that belong to? The man who was sitting next to her got up and left and donny said- I'll bet you that thing weighed thirty pounds less when he married her.
For the next twenty minutes he gave the most profanity filled speech I've ever heard. I'd say about a fifth of the audience walked out and the rest were too stunned to do much.
The gist of his speech was no matter how nice you are to your workers, they want nothing more to screw you and the more you give them, the more they will screw you. It doesn'tm matter if it your wife, your girlfriend or your boyfriend- all they see you as is a big bag of cash and as soon as they empty you out, they will move on to the next swinging dick. Those were his words, not mine.
I saw him at another speech a few months later, in a place that was less than half full and before he went on he berated the backstage workers for not going out on the street to fill the empty spaces.
That speech was more mainstream and much less vulger.
I had a few friends that were fairly high up in his AC casinos and they didn't think much of him, but another friend who had retired from the NYPD and went to work for him had nothing but good things to say about him.
His big claim to fame in NYC was fixing a roller skating ring that had been caught up in a labor dispute for years.
I've always known he was a joke but never realized how vicious he was.
