Really you have gone to far now. with the exception of Smokey the bear ad which was forgive the pun bearable and easy to actually concentrate on of all things video poker. The ads are out of control. Tonight theres a porn ad, Not the first time. so we have a constant barrage of intrusive non stop flashing, flickering ads, sometimes in Spanish no less, that I swear got worse when you offered the pay to play in piece. Never mind the, you are the kbillion winner spoofs. seems to me back in august we where being told any ad that was overly intrusive would be stopped. guess not.
 
On behalf of everyone who struggles to put gas in there car and food on there table, for all the people in the USA who are about to lose there homes to the disaster of this economy, I want to say shame on you.  60 dollars a year is out of reach for most people.This was greedy on your part. This site was always a fun and exciting way to learn and practice video poker, it's now a cesspool of often offensive ads and impossible to focus on with the never ending scrolling, flickering and flashing in 99 percent of the ads. You have done nothing in the way of compromise to keep your site running well and your site players happy. You have not kept your word. porn ads are just not acceptable, either is the flurry of spam. either is the price of being able to once again enjoy the site. How much do you need? These horrible ads are paying you for ad space. So the only unhappy people are the 80,000 of us who cant afford this. Thats a lot of unhappy people and this was a bad call. Truly greedy and unfair.

Ad servers are going to be a constant issue it seems, and we are working hard on the most appropriate solution. We did change companies not long before the gold release and hope this new company does a better job, but we are also exploring other options. Pornography ads are forbidden from our ad deparment, but perhaps there are some "risque" ads showing up? I saw one earlier for music videos but you wouldn't have known that unless you clicked on it. There was no nudity present. If actual pornography is showing up, please email me a screenshot to forum @ videopoker.com immediately so that we can take action.

We will continue to evaluate all ad serving companies and greatly appreciate the feedback that you have provided.Webman,Please forgive the grumbling, but I must share with you a problem I have been experiencing.  I went to the eye Doctor after having  strange experiences with my vision.  I can only describe it as blinding arcing lights in a jagged circle.  As I was sketching the pattern in the air for my Dr, she pulled out a printout with pictures of what I was describing.  The diagnosis?  Visual migranes.  The cause?  (one of many) bright, flashes of light.  I so much love to visit this site and practice and take part in the forums, but I'm being blinded by the flashing lights.  Please help.  Give us a "stop"  solution to make the ads stop flashing.Thank youginxxx

ginxxxx silent migranes can also be caused by stress, bright sunlight, mirror reflections, automotive headlamps. If that is all the eye doctor suggested, I would also see an MD for tests to make sure there isn't anything else. All an eye Doctor can rule out is Macular Dengeneration which can also cause it.

Hi Ginxx, I have not been on here for a while, but felt it was important to respond to your situation. You are not alone and mostly let me express how sorry I am, you had to go through one of the most frightening of all experiences. I also have suffered from eye migraines and can not be on this site in it's present form. Unless you have gone through the terror of the sudden acid trip in your eyes, you might tend to laugh it off or play it off, as someone on here tried to do to you. Yes it is true several things can set off eye migraine, however, it is a fact, that flashing light will take you down. as you know by now, I do mean literal down, I must lay down and close my eyes for half an hour, all the while still experiencing the flash inside my closed eye, each time I cant help but worry, what if this time it doesn't pass? I understand how frustrating it is to not be able to enjoy this site, I've tried several times to at least have them provide a compromise between the hell it's become and the only way out being way to expensive.  I've also spoke of eye problems before.They wont budge. Please do not put your eye sight at risk. I had an actual eye stroke 9 months ago, muscles do recover, but you can Imagen the agony of not being able to function due to severe eye vision loss. Don't go there, keep away from all the things your eye doc suggested. They could not link my eye migraines to my eye stroke, but one must wonder if a compromised area isn't indeed much more vulnerable. When I stay off of here, I don't get the migraines. check with your doc, I take aspirin the second it starts, there's no mistaking when it's arriving, it does help a little for the headache that sometimes follows. don't be put off by people's lack of knowledge and unsympathetic ways. for most people until a thing happens to them, it's not real. best wishes. storm

My response to Ginxx was not based on a lack of knowledge and I got the Cat scans of the brain and doppler studies of the carotids to prove it. What I was suggesting to Ginxx was not to stop with just the eye Doctor, but to also consult an MD to make sure of what she is dealing with.
The ads aside , if one is prone to this phenomon, the dealing of the cards alone can trigger it. The rapid eye movent involved can also cause rapid hearthbeat etc.. My concern was for her health. Thank You.
