hit a dealt royal on a multi line game
That would indeed be sweet; especially since my game of choice is DDB, 10 play. I am content with +10% on my modest bankroll, let's see what happens. Thanks.

We are heading to Vegas on the 23rd of July encouraged by 3 comp nights at the Wynn. My earlier post spoke of a trip last November where we played moderately at the Wynn for one day, about 8 hours. I received the offer via snail mail and it gave me the comp. The emails I received gave us a reduced rate but not a comp. I'll try and post my experience when we return. Wish us luck
We're back and I'd like to report I had a winning trip...can't say that. Unfortunately the RNG was not kind to me. Played 10 line DDB and waited for two days for a quad. Overall in three days I hit a grand total of four quads, only one Aces. The paytables were all in the 97% range which didn't help my cause at all. On a positive note the hotel is beautiful with large rooms and very comfortable beds. Not so positive, construction activity (east side of property) commenced each morning at 5:30AM and although we were on the 39th floor it sounded as if we were on the first. All in all not one of our best trips but we were glad to get a few days in LV and we had fun despite a ghastly run of luck on VP. I seemed to do better on our last day but never recouped my losses and ended up 10% below my "loss limit" which is as poor as I've done since I started serious VP play about three years ago. In retrospect I should have headed downtown to better paytables but we were planning a wedding on the strip and stayed there. As others have posted before..."the strip is NOT where to play VP". Oh well, better luck next time

Sorry to hear your luck was not good. Of course, any serious VP player has experienced this many times (good and bad paytables). It just irritates you a little more when you already know your giving them an edge and then they take even more.

Thanks shadowman,
What made it even more annoying was my inability to even get a decent deal. Playing DDB I always get a rush on three of a kind; this trip I only got two dealt trips and no dealt full houses!! I have never had such a terrible run of luck. As I sat there wondering "what's up", I did think back to your posts and others who warned this happens from time-to-time and changed games, deuces, multi-strike, JOB and even tried altering how I hit the draw; slow down, speed up, delay ten seconds etc. etc. and still the bad streak continued. It got so bad I went to play slots!!!!!!

One thing that really helps when you get into these difficult situations is to tactfully and gracefully put your fist through the display screen of the machine.

You need to be very careful when hitting display screens while on a run of bad luck. You'll probably end up cutting a vein, squirting blood all over another person and getting sued for everything you own.
vpguy3's bad streak sounds all to similar to my bad streak earlier this year. Sometimes there is NOTHING that helps. If a pep talk helps look at pokeherguy who was also having some bad days up until his recent windfall.

Might be a "shocking" experience as well. I've never been present when someone's done a smasheroo on a machine, but I see the results from time to time - cracked glass on the CRT, and the plastic (glass?) part of the machine that shows the game name smashed as well. Never seen a machine actually tipped over, but I'm sure that's been done by someone somewhere.
One thing that's been proven to stop those dry spells is a human sacrifice in front of the machine. Nowadays, though, the casinos aren't as tolerant about that as they used to be.

I did try sacrificing a chicken, encircling the machine with magic powder and burning some incense but the smoke clouded the camera's view and the casino thought that was a bit much However, I do think the royal VP god Flusho was very pleased.

when you run bad try going for a walk so you eliminate the risk of playing at a higher level to "get even"
