Tunica Casinos

Post by Tedlark »

Hi Gang - Me and my sweetie are heading to Tunica this Friday January 4th for the weekend. What is the video poker like there? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. She plays Super Aces's, I switch from deuces to double double, Atlantic City Joker Poker and triple double. As always good luck to all and I appreciate your insight, Tedlark.

I myself, am not familiar with Tunica.  However, I would recommend that you talk to Pokeherguy.  I think he can probably tell you all you might want to know about it.  Also, check out the Yahoo Group vpFree.  They very likely have a good up-to-date rundown on the good machines there.

Thanks for the heads up MikeA. Hey Pokeherguy, can you give me any insight on play down in Tunica? By the way, my girl just called me from Hollywood Casino in Aurora, IL, she was dealt Aces while playing 5 play double double bonus.

There was another thread about Tunica, you might want to check that out(try the search function up at the top). If I remember right the best paytables are at the Sheraton.

Let us know how it goes.

I usually play at the Grand, they have the best selection of VP games. I pretty much stick to playing $2 DDB and a little $5 DDB but sometimes I play the multi-play and done pretty decent on them. If you play $1 VP you should find the progessive machines on the north end of the Grand I've done well on those also. I know a lot of players like the Sheraton but most of thier $1 VP machines are still coin machines. They do however have a nice selection of multi-play machines. As long as a bands not playing there I like the place, otherwise the music is far too loud. Horseshoe casino is not the place to go if you want to play VP but they have a great selection of slot machines. I've never done any good at Sam's Town playing anything other than $5 slots. I haven't been to the Hollywood casino in a long time so I can't comment on that place. The Grand also has a great buffet.

Thanks pokeherguy for the info on Tunica. I'm staying at the Horseshoe and I think my best play will probably be at the Sheraton. I was going to stay there but my "mini-suite"? at Horseshoe was comped. Thanks again and good luck, Tedlark.

If your going to play at Sheraton avoid the first floor all the full-pays are on the second level but not at the bar.

54merk - thanks very much for the heads up and I'll head for the second level at the Sheraton. My girl wants to hit most of the casinos there so we'll be jumping around alot. Good luck to all, Tedlark.

Does Mississippi still take the State Tax out of W2G hand pays?
Being out of state it happened to me once and there wasn't anyway to get it back?
