Monorail 1-Day pass for $9.

Post by Eduardo »

You have to buy before the end of today!

From what I can tell, you can buy these now and use them within a year.  I hope I'm right about this.  Seems like a very good deal if you want to use the monorail to get around the strip.

I'm thinking about getting a few of these for my trip there but I guess I have all day to decide and make sure I can use them later in January.

Looks to me like you'll be ok for Jan.

But then what do I know, I'm a recovering attorney.

Anyone know how these day passes work?

I could buy 3 for me and my family and we could each have one and go wherever all day right?

Are they tied to an individual that I need to specify?

Actually, it looks like I might not get them in time if I order online.  It says to allow 15 days for delivery and I leave in 12 so I don't want to chance it.

Oh well, hopefully someone else can take advantage of the good deal.

If I had YOUR $$$$, I'd just hire a limo for a week to haul everybody around.

You have me confused with a different Eduardo.

I am the one that will win money, not the one that has won money.

I am the one that will win money, not the one that has won money. I didn't read the bit on the monorail.  Verna and I have used it a couple of times and it really isn't all that convenient.  Long walks from the "stations" to the casinos and it certainly doesn't stop at all of them.  But, on the other hand, it is a good way to travel the main part of the Strip at night and see it from a different perspective.Check out Alamo Rentals for a car.  We got a Chevy Cobalt for 4 days and nights for $89.  I don't think we've ever paid more than $130 for a week with them and have had Durangos, Grand AMs, and those Chevy knock offs of the PT Cruiser (H7 or something like that).  I would find it hard NOT to rent a car any more while in Vegas.

Eduardo, the mass transit bus , "the Deuce," was $5/day.  It's good for the Strip and even goes down town and to the airport.  With transfers you could go to about anywhere in the metro area.  Try it out for the people watching.  Most importantly,  GOOD LUCK on your next trip.  Be sure and send  more play by play updates when your vacation begins.

Strip traffic between Mandalay Bay and Sahara is bumper-to-bumper even in the wee hours of the morning when I like to prowl or check out new strip properties. Deuce,Monorail or CAT transits arebetter than sitting in traffic. Rental is an advantage. Just get up and go. Good luck and hit the BIG ONE!Check the review-journal for weather and current events.
                                  Best of luck!
