Best VP on the strip??...

Post by steelchair »

I've read the forums and I'm, unfortunately, stuck on the strip for 3 days.  Due to business I will only have a few minutes (hours) at a time.  Any suggestions on hotels on the strip with good pay tables?  Thanks in advance

What game do you like to play, and what denomination?

There are a few good games available but the strip is quite long and, as MikeA stated, knowing where you are would be useful, especially if you only have a few minutes to play.

I was just on the Strip at Xmas and found a few places offering stuff like JoB, BP, etc.
At the right front door of Hooters there were 8 machines with decent offerings. Imperial Palace had some good Dueces and BP. LV Hilton was okay with several games.
I saw some 7/5 and 6/5 JoB at places like Venetian, Wynn, etc.   Can you imagine anybody playing 6/5???????
The casinos seem to move their slots around like the peas in a shell game, so one day they are there and the next they aren't to be found.
Drive or taxi to Palms, South Point, Silverton, Stratosphere etc. and you'll find lots of good stuff to play.

Since this is a "Strip" column, has anyone visited the Palazzo since its recent opening? I'm one who likes to just gander at all the new resorts as they call them. It's all excessive to me but it sure is grand! Just remember, those places don't pay for themselves and a few whales aren't going to bring the house into the black. Tough to support the casino but not its owners!

The strip casinos have been eliminating full pay machines.  Caesars used to have full pay Jacks of Better, quarter and dollar, scattered around the casino, until the spring of 2007.  In June, we found only a few $5-$25 full pay machines in the high roller section (and some idiots playing less than full pay high dollar machines right next to those few full pay machines).  Wynns had some full pay quarter and dollar JOB, and some decent progressive jackpots.  The pickings were slim.
