As a new member, please describe one more time what you mean by a full pay. I'm heading to Vegas in two weeks (staying at Bally's) and will only be there for the weekend. I doubt I'll find many full play vp on the strip according to everyone's feedback but I sure would like to try.
In Iowa, the best vp is at Terrible's in Osceola, Prairie Meadow's in Des Moines is above average and I would say Tama is in the top two but because it is an indian reservation, they don't sell beer so that drops them out of my top 10 On the other side of the state, Riverside, IA is the tightest around....terrible tables and payouts, the Dubuque Greyhound Park and Casino is top notch while the Isle facilities in Davenport and Waterloo and Marquette leave a bit to be desired.
Will always assist anyone coming to the great state of Iowa
What is full pay?

Full pay is the best normal pay table offered on a particular game. Some casinos will occasionally juice up the game to be higher than full pay. But, most will chop most of the tables down on most of the offerings to varying degrees. Note that differing tables will be usually be offered on the same game in the same casino.

thanks JM...I appreciate it. Our local casino does not vary with their pay tables. JOB only 8/5, DDB 7/5, etc and all the machines are the same throughout the casino. Probably better pay tables on a cruise ship

Full Pay by definition is a paytable that with perfect play for that game will give an expected return of > 100%. There are a few exceptions to that 100% rule though. For instance, 9/6 Jacks or Better is called "full pay" though it returns only something like 99.6%.Full Pay on Double Bonus is 10/7Full Pay on Double Double Bonus is 10/6Since those are the games that I play most often, I am familiar with the pay tables. I'll let someone else list the full pay tables for other games like the 2,000 versions of Deuces Wild

Loose deuces pays back more than 100% at full pay. In fact it pays 150% for some people.
You can find it at the LV Hilton, but that's not terribly convenient for you staying at Ballys. Not sure what machines are around the area of Ballys but probably some 9/6 jacks or better i'd imagine. Make sure you are in the players club wherever you decide to play. Good luck!

WELCOME rfonlymama, Check out PALMS on your Vegas trip: DB 10/7 and DDB 10/6 uprights right in front of exterior doors closest to GOLD COAST. Also 100% signs on top of DDB uprights directly in front of far end - away from strip- exterior doors next to food court and movie theaters. PALMS also has LD and NSUD and other great machines. Exit Bally's side doors (opposite PARIS) and use SIGNAL LIGHT to cross FLAMINGO BLVD. WAIT about 5-10 min for free shuttle bus outside BILLS (previously Barbary Coast). There is an extra partial lane to accommodate the shuttle buses. One bus will go to ORLEANS and from there you can catch another to either GOLD COAST or back to BILLS and catch GOLD COAST from BILLS. Driver has NEVER asked for room key so ignore that little sign but a tip is appreciated. At Gold Coast you can easily walk to PALMS using the light - walk FASSST or you will not make it across wide Flamingo Blvd. in one light. I did hit a royal on desk machine back towards elevators at Bally's, three play. How could I forget to play there last trip. Same exit door from Bally's on Flamingo Blvd. you can also catch Harrah's free shuttle bus curbed to your right, to RIO - not as often as Gold Coast and Orleans shuttles. GOLD COAST has good machines, too. It's more of a trek to get to Gold Coast and Palms from RIO shuttle stop, but okay if you wish to check out RIO as well. FYI: BILLS has great breakfast special before 7:00 AM at attractive VICTORIAN ROOM in the back away from the strip. Let us know if anything great happens to you in Vegas! Luck!

I have frequently seen "Full pay" used in both ways... a 100%+ game or the max paytable. The confusion probably comes from the fact that they are one in the same sometimes. Some people also say "full pay" when it pays back 100% including the cashback so it could be below a 100% pay table. I think I've been using it wrong myself, but I know what I mean when I say it.
But I don't think MikeA was trying to be smart with you or correct you. He was just giving a pretty common definition. I think the correct use is probably the max standard pay table for a certain game type. Thanks for the link, jm. Anyone know how bob dancer uses the term in his writings?

I've also seen "Full Pay" used several different ways, with the first two that you mentioned being the most common.
