Since FAA kindly asked me to start a thread of my own, I'll start with today's nice hit. Dealt 22596 on the 25/16/13/4/3/2/2/1 version of DW and talking on the phone with a friend, I take a quick second to think about holding the 5 and 9 which were in diamonds since the SF here pays 65 credits. Then I remember you dont hold a 3 gapper but only a two or less gapper. So I hold the ducks and low and behold catch the other two of them on a sweet 3x multiplier.
Js's nice hits 'n stuff

You've got the right stuff!
In Vegas I rarely see the 16/13 schedule on UX, so I wouldn't know the strategy. I think we mostly have either 12/10 or 10/8. I don't know those strategies either.

WizardofOdds lists the 3 play at 96.9387% for this version. Strategy wise, I dont know the full intricacies of it and sometimes just wing it. If I really want to check, it would only take a minute or so to plug the hand into a hand calculator.

Seems reasonable. If you're like me, you never play those schedules in any context other than UX.
The one decision I try to get right is breaking up two pair. I believe it depends entirely on whether the full house pays 3 or 4. If the pay is 4, you absolutely must hold both pairs.

Yep. Every time I'm dealt 2 pair on DW doing this I check the pay table. There has to be at least 5 or 6 different tables on the UX games here. None of them playable under normal circumstances either.dinghy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 07, 2021 9:02 pmSeems reasonable. If you're like me, you never play those schedules in any context other than UX.

Doesn't sound like this thread's gonna be about busted bank rolls.....

Unless you have many plays at the $1 and higher denomination, I'd say all you need is $100 to start and build it into hundreds of thousands. It'll take a bit of time though.
Seriously though, why people leave these big advantages around has me dumbfounded.
