I will go to the end machine especially if it is full pay 9/6 jacks or better. I am always looking for the full pay (ok nearly full pay) machine so I have a chance to play for some time and also maybe go home a winner.
I decided if I get up triple what I start with ($20) I am just going to quit instead of keep playing and lose it all. (I figure that will likely work until I get to the casino at least.)

I do think the end machines get more play than other machines. Maybe this is the simple answer.
I don't agree. its a machine, a machine can't respond to the players, its was programatically operated.

You're interpreting this wrong. If a machine gets more play you will see more jackpots, simply a statistical fact.
