Are you supposed to hold the five too? I figured just hold the pair and seek a quad. The 2 hold is confusing too. I obviously don’t know the game.

Five plus two equals seven. In QQ (quick quads), holding a five plus a two with two sevens is the equivalent of holding three sevens.

I see. Sitting pretty. So 94 dud hands and six nominal wins. The thrill is gone. And so are our bankrolls.

This was strictly Quick Quads vs Super Triple Play. The test was 5 play 9/6 DB. Five of us QQs players did the test. It was 100 hands each on each machine and is limited to dealt hands only. Those of you who know QQs know the scenario but for those who don’t here’s how it works. Sample, 5,5,2,3 - 6,6,3,3 -7,7,6,1 -, are dealt QQs opportunities. We each did QQs first and these were the results of dealt QQs opportunities for 100 hands. 0,1,1,3,5. Then on to the STP. The same 100 hands dealt, 10, 13, 14, 19, 23, if it were a QQ machine. The one with 23 actually had 10 QQ opportunities in a row. Random, I don’t think so.
Very very interesting sir. I still enjoy Quick Quads on this site, but it's been years since i played it in casinos. I too seem to remember frustrating incidents where I would play something like BP or DDB and get lots of QQ opportunities, but I never bothered to measure like you and your cohorts. I always chalked it up to my human imperfection perceptions, etc.
We live in a technologically advanced era, it's not hard to imagine casino operators being able to manipulate gimmicky games if they so desire. Like take Dreamcard, they set the Dreamcard frequency different depending on which game you choose right? Deuces wild has a Dreamcard frequency of 50% while TDB has it very low ( I forget.) but they could if they wanted raise or lower Deuces to 45% or 55% if they wanted, right? That's a variable they have control over, they just need to tell us players what it is in the Help section when we sit down to play, right?

Casinos have to exceed state minimum return to player audit requirements. However they arrive at that is at their discretion, AFAIK. I’ve read that they can emphasize certain times. VP is considered slots for the ledgers.

Interesting day at Borgata, started at the Rewards desk to see why my monthly free play and free RCs disappeared. Was told a Host would come out to talk to me. Young man eventually came out and explained very politely that because I’ve only been using my free play on VP that I was cut off. When I stated that I earned the free play by playing VP he kinda laughed and said I know, but. Now I’m one level above guppy in the ocean that is Borgata, probably a gold fish and they’re tracking my minuscule play, and cutting my insignificant monthly free play to zero.OK went to the B Bar and spoke to an actual Guru and he said the only ones winning were playing $1 & $2 games, nickels and quarters were few and far between. They also have an unadvertised game whereas you earn X slot dollars, then go to a Kiosk and swipe and it gives you free play. Yesterday I got $125, went to a Wheel of Fortune machine, hour later cashed out up $525. When to Amphora and then to my room, that’ll teach them to take my monthly free play away.

👍. Bad deal, then good deal getting back at them for you. Last night I had my first free play since 2/4 at Bizarro World. I told the slot attendant that I haven’t seen any hand plays lately. He said only in the High limit areas. I said OK that’s where all the inferior pay tables are. He didn’t respond, but the statement I made is true for the most part. It’s the main High limit area located right outside the newly reopened lounge. I only set foot in there to walk to the lounge.

Oh man, jeter, Im sorry that happened to you, that is just infuriating. WHat do these morons think is eventually going to happen if they keep this type of treatment up on their customer base.? Based on this story of yours alone, I am never going to patronize borgota, ever. Not that I go there lately anyway, but now I will go out of my way not to play there simply because of what they've done to you....and no doubt this has been done to many many other players besides you.

This doesn't make any sense if you really think about it; they give you "free" play, but then penalize you for using your freedom and free-will to spend your free-play on the games you want?!?!

But I don't quite follow that last part about "unadvertised" games, what is that exactly; I get that you earned a swipe of some sort of kiosk promotional game that won you 125 bucks and then put it in the Wheel O' Fortune slots. Just don't do what they ultimately want you to do and become a regular slot machine player, stay with VP if you can. Perhaps it is time to revisit VP at the Caesars places or even Hard Rock or Golden Nuggets in AC; Don't dance to their slots tune.

One more point, I had something similar happen many many years ago at that Resorts establishment in AC. As you all must know, Resorts pays next to nothing for VP players and this goes all the way back to 2013 almost a decade ago. I used to enjoy the old style history that Resorts used to embody as the first AC casino to open back in 1980. We'd make the trip down the east coast on trips to the carolinas and Virginia and we'd stop in AC either going or returning, and Resorts was a favorite. That all changed in 2013 or soe when a host literally criticized our game play when we asked a for a simple 25 dollar food comp for dinner after dropping around 900 bucks on VP in the span of a day. The guy said basically "well you play videopoker and those 8/5 Bonus poker is basically a break even game". etc. I said well why do you have so many of them out there (zResorts back in 2013 and before had dozens and dozens of 8/5 BP games all over the place.) It was just dumb and greedy what he said to us, and we basically never went back there after that.

I agree. We made many trips down to the outer banks over the years. I actually walked next to an 18 foot Hammerhead at the fishing pier once. Need I say I walked very gingerly. 😬 It just appeared out of nowhere. I think it was looking for stuff the guys from the pier threw back. I was retrieving my rig that got hung up on a piling. In waist deep water. Literally right next to me.😬 like you, we stopped at AC on the way back. Borgata wasn’t built then.
