This topic may have been exhausted in previous years, but I think it's a good learning tool/experience for those of us who don't play often and who are looking to maximize fun without it costing a huge amount of money when they visit casinos. I do think that the majority of mainstream, brick mortar establishments are on the up&up in places like Vegas and Tahoe and up here in Ontario, etc. Sadly though most casinos corporations are obviously doing as much as possible to squeeze every dime out of all non-high rollers by charging for the most basic picayune things that used to be free, and the marketplace ( us consumers) seems to be allowing them to continue to get away with such annoying things.

I'm obviously echoing a few of the points other posters have made recent and in years past, like mr. FAA often does, and in much older posts; I simply think that it is possible for a business to pull some shenanigans once in a while if they want or need a boost to earnings. The only way we players would know or they would get caught in a brief temporary cheating scam would be a whistleblower I think. As to Why they would do such a thing, that is as open and mysterious and stupid as all Human nature and behavior can be.

This was strictly Quick Quads vs Super Triple Play. The test was 5 play 9/6 DB. Five of us QQs players did the test. It was 100 hands each on each machine and is limited to dealt hands only. Those of you who know QQs know the scenario but for those who don’t here’s how it works. Sample, 5,5,2,3 - 6,6,3,3 -7,7,6,1 -, are dealt QQs opportunities. We each did QQs first and these were the results of dealt QQs opportunities for 100 hands. 0,1,1,3,5. Then on to the STP. The same 100 hands dealt, 10, 13, 14, 19, 23, if it were a QQ machine. The one with 23 actually had 10 QQ opportunities in a row. Random, I don’t think so.

The numbers are all over the place. Isn't that random?

Did you not see the correlation between the two machines, they are not “all over the place “, if the dealt hands on Super Triple Play were on the QQ machine we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

On a side note when I first started playing QQs At Harrahs ( in the DB Era ), you had to know God to get on one of those machines, occupied usually 24hrs a day. Would always earn 500 Tier Credits on $100, when I stopped playing and other players stopped we were lucky to get 20 tier credits on $100. Like many have said if you think something is amiss don’t play. That’s exactly what I did.

Couldn't some of that be attributed to the casinos upping the coin in on video poker to earn points over the last few years?

The 20 TC for $100 is familiar, Jeter. An 80 TC Caesars excursion set me back $400. At that pace players are just flushing it.

On the rare occasion you are dealt a QQ opportunity this is how you are rewarded. LOL.
