Up, down, and out…..damage control kicked in. I did stumble onto some good news. My formerly favorite pre Covid machine has been re programed to its pre Covid settings, is back to paying the correct amount for the Royal for a single dollar bet with just about a 99 percent pay table for the game I play. It remained mostly unplayed the last 3 years. I hate to use the word morons, but the bean counters had changed it to where a bet of 15 bucks was needed to get paid the correct Royal amount. I had complained both verbally and in writing even advised them to review and see how much money I had left at the casino on this machine before they changed it and maybe take a look at its daily take as well from other patrons both pre and post Covid reopening. Anyway for now, it’s back. For how long, who knows. I had a nice hit on it after 5 minutes catching deuces for 200 bucks, but pushed it and ended up down 400. The bean counters should be happy about that.
I wish more places would do that with the royal. It's really annoying to be so constricted in how we bet so we don't get shortcoined.

If FAA is not liking the results he's getting at a certain casino, why would he keep going back like it's an obligation of some kind lol?

Good question.

RMD check safely deposited out of my reach. However, I do have some use or lose casino credits to spend. Leaning toward a ride up later just for a few hours. 20 bucks free play too. The Mrs and I plan to go up for a nice early pre New Years Brunch on Saturday. ( Todd English’s Tuscany ). On the house so may as well go. We don’t drive on New Year’s Eve! Just too Risky.

Hope your yearend trip goes well. I don't like driving on New Years Eve either. If I am out (late wife and I used to play bingo on the31st) I always try and get home before midnight. Olds and Mrs Olds, Stay safe and best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year. The same goes for the entire Forum group as well.

Olds, sorry to hear about the push landing in the tush. While most head for the exits on a $200 hit, our members are much less inclined.
AP, I returned to Resorts still on the high of my aforementioned miracle dealt quad within five minutes. Granted I returned at a different time, so not apples to apples. I’ll return for anything not play related. I should have listened to Trip Advisor man who was -$80,000 for five straight years there, as I reposted in the AC section. I only posted my opinion here to gauge any congruence with Olds’ experiences. Of course, that only precipitated a rant by yet another member. Long story short, it’s an unusually dangerous money pit.

We are off in a few minutes on our first trip of 2024. We will be taking it easy. Beat up pretty good last year. At least they comped us 3 nights straight and all meals will be taken care of. May zip home and back for part of the trip. Weather not looking so good for the weekend. Just put some fresh spark plugs in my 2919 Elantra and replaced one DRL bulb that had burned out. 110k on it already. Bought new in May of 2019. The plugs really did last 100,000 miles. In fact, several thousand over!

Not a bad start to the New Year. Bets did get heavier than I would have liked. Always happens when playing catchup. The Mrs had an off night, but together we ended up even. Time for lunch in the lounge, then a leisurely ride home.
