New Casino - First Visit
As I noted in Favorite Casinos, SanTan Mountain had a soft opening two days ago. Decided to take a look. Took me 6 minutes to get there. Was virtually empty as most folks are unaware it is in operation. Beautiful facility with all new machines, spaciousness between machines, well-lit with picture windows, and airy. Relatively small. Decided to play $20 along with my $10 weekly free play on the quarter DDB progressive. Hit a few small hands and was up about $5 when I hit 3s with the kicker. First premium hand in over a year. Ok, only 5 or 6 short visits to any casino in that timeframe. Left shortly after. Nice that it is close enough to go for a quick bite and stay for a few minutes, bad that being so close, it is awfully tempting.

Sounds really nice. The nice thing about being so close is you can take advantage of even minor promotions. If it is that clean and nice, I would not hesitate to become a regular. As you have probably noticed from my posts, my bankroll has shrunk some by choice luckily. Easy to give yourself a limit. Hit and run if you can. Soooo difficult to do, but doable. Since neither of us are getting any younger, I would enjoy it while we have our health. As we both know, life is a gift. Stay safe and well my friend and enjoy. Seems like LL and sweet C have set their sights in the same direction while they can still come and go as they please. Good for them. I believe AP is doing the same as well. Too bad we all aren’t a stones throw away. Lunch with friends would sound good. That goes for all I haven’t mentioned, but I continue to read and enjoy their posts as the years go by. I would list all the names, but no doubt I would forget some with my short term memory issues. You all know who you are.

Thanks Olds. We need to cherish our health and well-being. So many unfortunately can't. The casino is aesthetically pleasingly. Very clean. Hopefully, it will stay that way. No smoking indoors will definitely help. There are a couple of gardens outside "for anyone looking to get away from the casino for a moment or two." Of course, not a place to go during 100 plus temperatures during the day in the summer, but a nice option during other times. They are trying to attract Gen Z and Millennials. You, and others, may wat to read the following article which points out management's vision. https://www.queencreektribune.com/news/ ... ddfeb.html

Wow! If it were here, I would be a regular. Thanks.

OTA, next time you go if you can find an All Star 2 machine, it should pay 800 for bet one in the spin poker or Triple spin poker game. Great for low budget days or just playing for fun for a short visit or free play. It also works great for my Martingale Clone. Will post about that soon on my Bizarro World thread.

I haven't looked at every VP machine there but have not seen any All-Star ones. I have only seen, what I would call standard VP games where I have looked. I will look further next time, though that may not be until next week.

Olds, stopped by the casino this (Sunday evening) for an hour this evening. Two mles, 7 minutes each way, parking lot to inside my garage. They have All Star 3 machines. Three, five, and ten playI should have taken a picture of the pay table. Believe they were nickel, quarter, dollar machines. I looked at so many pay tables that I can't remember what it was on those machines. While I was getting ready to play at the bar, there was an employee wiping and cleaning the area down. Next time I pass by, I will note the pay tables. Most of the regular, one-line, stand-alone poker machines pay $1000 credits for a royal. The royal is a progressive at both bars (linked).

A reminder to pack wipes for my machines next trip. AC machines are beaten down and filthy as a rule.
