I assume MS has fewer rooms than some larger casino hotels, and they all put a premium on comp rooms on the weekends and hold a number for high rollers on weekends, and VP players are not a priority, but 1-2 m coin-in per year is a pretty high threshold to still not rate one.
I think the problem is the 1-2 m is spread out across 100 trips throughout the year. They're likely focusing on his expected loss for the trip, which doesn't necessarily cover the room.

That type of daily average isn't going to amaze anyone on the Vegas strip either, but monthly 6-figure weekends would open some doors.

I think that about sums it up. They know by now that I am going to frequent the casino unless some huge changes to the negative for the player are made. Being retired, I don’t need to go there on crowded weekends anyway. My biggest draw to go there is from what I understand the permanent ban on smoking, the effort by them to keep the place super neat and clean, the friendliness of staff, and of course availability of 99 percent games to play at the quarter level. Forgetting all of the different type of comps, free play, food etc., my cost for the roughly 100 nights a year I stay there comes out to about 360 bucks a night. That’s a deal in this day and age once it is reduced by the value of the food, free play, gifts, shows, etc.

I think the casinos in my neck tend to see players as either local or visitor.

Locals get their free play offers split into little pieces, so for example if M Resort offers me $200 for the month, it'll require 8 pickups of $25 each (Mon-Thu & Fri-Sun). But they don't penalize me for having too many visits. (I think) they rate me by total action for the month. My hotel offers as a local are not much.

Visitors get better hotel offers, and lump-sum free play offers. Their rating is probably based on daily average, so they need to avoid low-play days. Playing on checkout day may hurt their rating if it's only for 10 minutes.

Some properties treat everyone as one or the other. If I sign up at a locals casino and play $50k in my one session, they may not care very much because they're only viewing it as a monthly total. I'll be rated the same as their other players who visit every day for $2k each visit.

Olds, you may be somewhat extraordinary because you visit a lot but also stay overnight. What's their main customer base? Do they get a lot of day-tripper/local action?

They do The locals go for 5 or ten bucks in free play, free coffee and, drop 200 and go home. They also do lots of conventions, I mean a real lot I have seen some of the die hards who go a lot and stay overnight. They play a Omicon of everything. I can count on one hand all of the marathon VP overnight players. My free play is almost always in pieces throughout the week with some nominal gifts, free perk points I use for gas, free food of course in the lounge, free shows I never go to due to Coviditis fears in a sardine can environment, and 800 choice credits a month use or lose. I can use them on rooms, food, etc, but not spend on cash. On triple status point days, if I play long enough, I can earn another 100 in free play. They comp 2 or 3 rooms a week usually. Sometimes more.

You're getting nice value from the club, no doubt about that.

Value is in the eye of the beholder. An annual loss in the tens of thousands is a non starter, even if I was using binoculars.

i dont quite understand if winning 300 per visit with free play money. It can be profitable many thousand of dollars per month year after year. Isnt it not good for the casino. Why they would allow it to peoples.
