The two of clubs was probably "due" for an appearance.
At that point, I had gone 14 deals without a pinochle.

We've all been there.

Obvious machine malfunction...

I definitely enjoy dealt full houses, but those weren't dealt!

For sure, but I didn't know what to demand as compensation for my emotional distress. The machine paid me my money.

You can usually catch that, unless you are playing too fast.
This is relevant again. You know I'm not into superstition, but I have to admit my luck "picked up" after starting this thread. I did a free play pickup at a casino where I had played slots, but the vp is not so good. During the brief session, I caught this beautiful collection of spades:

Dealt royal? I have no idea. It went by so fast, I'm not sure. Dealt royals are more common than redraws, but I can't rule out the latter.

I'll never know. I dodged a bullet though because you see the pay schedule is shorted on the royal.

A 5-coin bet would have snagged an annoying $1250 tax form.

I was only betting 1 coin because the penalty was less than usual, and the 9/6 schedule gave me a good chance of converting nearly full free play value. I walked with my profit, and nobody knows about it. :)

Nice going…..There is a very old Radio show from the 1930s I think……..” The Shadow Knows”. That was the ending line of the show. I doubt very much anyone here still remembers it. They do run re runs on a local AM radio show in Ct once in awhile. My dad used to talk about it because he listened as a kid to the show.

I think that's the one with the line: "Who knows what evil lurks in the spades of men?"

What? I had to change it to fit the thread. I didn't get a heart royal.

Thanks!

Discussed on another board, some tribes are falling back to class ii gaming to escape the control of their state governments. Soaring Eagle was mentioned on the rumor mill.

Generally they want class ii to look like class iii, so this is a concern for vp players. Eventually maybe class ii can be designed to function like class iii, but I haven't seen any news on that. Nor have I seen any details of how class ii sports betting would function, but it's reportedly under development.

I would never step foot in a class II casino. I'd rather do scratchoffs at a gas station instead of play that nonsense lol. Also, what are they saying about that rumor in detail if you don't mind sharing? :?:

Not much that I've found. There's a VMB thread on how to differentiate class ii/iii video poker, but I didn't see any definitive answer. Some class ii vp is readily identifiable, but not necessarily all.

CDC Gaming covers class ii news, but usually more about reels than vp. This article from several months back mentions some of the government oversight conflicts:
