My 300 entries came up dry in the $50k drawing. They were unusually efficient, calling all 15 winners in one batch.

We had 390 entries, and our friend, 400. Dry as a bone, as well.

It's supposed to be redeveloped as mixed use, no casino.

Harrah's Reno opened in the '30s as a bingo parlor.



That's from the '40s imo. Later it was rebranded as a "club" with full casino gaming.



Over the years, Bill Harrah bought all the surrounding properties including the bank building, and also expanded east across Center Street (now University Way?). In 2005, Harrah's Entertainment acquired Caesars Entertainment and took the name as its own.

At the current Row site, Eldorado and Circus Circus opened in the '70s, Silver Legacy in the '90s. In 2020, Eldorado Resorts acquired Caesars Entertainment and took the name.

The tent spread was some consolation after your playing and drawing disasters. Kill ‘em with carbs. Sucker ‘em with sugars. That ice cream could survive any number of natural catastrophes. You sure were iced and creamed. Stay in the tent or lose the tent! Memorable trip for all the wrong reasons. Mon dieu!

The E466 and E407 were reliable as always, but the E441 was the best I've ever had .

Club Cal Neva is located immediately south of the Harrah's site, which itself is southeast of the Row.





Opened in 1962, the property is independently owned by Jeff:



Jeff can often be seen helping out, at either the mother ship or his Siri's satellite casino nearby on Virginia. It's a unique, recirculating business model. He pays his employees salary, and they return the money into his gaming machines on their smoke breaks.



That's a blur on the employee's face, not a nicotine patch.
