Congratulations. It helps to have an 800:1 RF machine.

Thanks. Yes it does, especially when trying to keep coin in totals down. At 600 hands per hour, 150 bucks in coin is saved in coin in. Unfortunately, there are no 99.54 Job or 98.91 Deuces Wild games up there that offer it. My 2 highest options are this game I play at 98.8 and there are others with 98.44 Joker Kings. I haven’t found any games up there other than Spin poker games that have the option.
Just as an aside, after the Royal hit, I took a short break and since nobody had played the machine or was playing it, I decided to start over waiting for my usual 40 times my bet losses before increasing to bet 2. To my complete shock, the machine lost 40 times my bet at bet one, then 40 more times at bet 2, then 40 more times at bet 3, then believe it or not it was heading for 40 times more at bet 4 until I shut it down, packed it in, and cashed out at with 800 still in the machine. I was trying to get from 1114 credits to 1200 and this was the result. In all my years of playing, I have never seen a streak that fast in reverse. It almost makes me wonder if there is a mechanism in there that does that after a Royal hits. I have actually been warned before from slot attendants quietly to cash out after a Royal if after 5 minutes, the machine has turned horrible. I would love to say it’s just coincidence, but am not 100 percent convinced.

Yes, that’s been my long standing suspicion also. I leave after a quad. After a RF, I’m damn well leaving town. That little stunt cost $314. I hate a min premium hit more than anything. Chasing a better outcome only does more harm. You stay, you pay. It’s sad what we lose hoping to eke out a few more dollars. You’re there constantly, so it behooves you to just preserve the RF memory and plan for next trip.

This is accurate to within 10 percent. In about 30 years of playing VP, I have about 400 Royals. My usual is to play another 1,000 hands before bailing out. Sometimes more sometimes less. I have never hit a second Royal in that time on the same machine. That is 0 for 400,000 hands. What happens is you are happy, comfortable, and feeling confident after the Royal hits. My favorite servers if they are in the area automatically bring me over a Amstel light or Heineken whatever is colder. If it is after last call or in the morning, they will bring me over coffee and a glass of juice with ice because they know I would order it from them anyway. It’s not that they are looking for extra tips sometimes they drop it while I’m getting paid and don’t even stay for a tip and I have to chase them down myself on their next come by to tip them. Anyway, what I’m getting is it takes additional discipline more than what I have learned to just get up and walk. I only know of one other player that has hit a royal on the same machine, not too long after his first one, but there are many other stories about giveback immediately following. Sometimes for the entire amount of the Royal. I have done that twice. Pure stupidity.

Runner’s High is a short lived, deeply euphoric state following intense exercise. We have gambler’s high and must combine it with RH by running the hell out of the casino. Take whatever beverage with you. Comfortable and confident? Pride cometh before the fall. I should write MEAL on the back of my card in marker as a reminder to eat after an hour. The quad or above has usually arrived and the give back will follow regardless of whatever machine I choose next. Better to burn comps than cash.

Yes. Between the mechanism and the insider tips from the slot attendants you should definitely quit after hitting a royal. In fact, you should quit now, before winning any more money. Just in case!

Up here with the Mrs. She is usually my other good luck charm. So far so good. 98.8 pay table. That’s the best I can find of the 800 for bet one machines. This game I like, but the swings can be wild. I never checked the variance compared to DDB my guess is it must be similar.
