You forgot to mention wearing a barrel because that was all you(meaning almost anyone who really tried to be a pro) could afford!!!

Just me checking in. Rascal is right.

The secret is to borrow some money, get almost drunk, find a machine in a hot cycle, use special(read stupid) plays, and a royal or aces with a kicker will appear.

Then all you have to do is post it to your website and people will contact you so they can be taught your system and buy your book.

Here's something to consider.   Let's say one is VERY  disciplined and has an initial starting bankroll to sustain playing at the $20 denomination.  Compounded with a very small daily goal of around $300 - $400.  Seems feasible doesn't it?  You would only need to be ahead 15 - 20 credits to achieve this daily goal.  This could happen in a matter of a couple of hands. And being a VERY  disciplined person, you would then pack up and call it a day!  Play 5 days a week at the local casino, and you'd clear $1500-$2000 provided your goal is met each day.  Seems possible to me, but maybe not probable.  Thoughts?

It always seems easy to just come out ahead by a few credits in a short session.  But you would still need some positive play machines at the $20 level to make it happen.  Otherwise the occasional days where you got down on your first few hands and were unable to get back even would drain your winning days pretty quickly.

Thow in some amazing days at the $20 level where you hit something big early, and some miserable days where nothing is coming... and I think you are pretty much in the same place as a quarter player, only magnified by 80.

In other words, if you are playing quarters and you make 1/80th of the income you would need to live on, then yes... in theory you could have made enough to live on if you were playing $20's.  But as you say, you need a bankroll to sustain that and that means a whole lot of money in the slow times if you are playing with $100 a hand.

But those days when you hit a royal would sure be happy ones!

What a wonderful thought....being a VERY disciplined player. I always stay over night at the casino. Those machines just call out my name, You'd have to lock me in my room to keep me from doubling my winnings.

It is interesting to ponder though.  And I realize it isn't very likely anyone would go to the casino and "possibly" leave after 5 minutes provided their goal was met.  I'm with you Nancy, I'd be thinking to myself.........hmmmm... I could turn this $300 into $600 in 15 minutes.

So, you start playing and the first 5 hands are trash.  Down $500.  Now what?  Playing quarters it's easy to drop $100 pretty quickly.  That's $8000in your case.

Very disciplined or otherwise, you'd have to be extremely lucky or have an expendable bank account to sustain such numbers. You'd earn some great FRB comps real quick though!

You had best take plenty of food, water, sleeping bag............because you very soon will be stuck at your machine for days, maybe weeks waiting for the royal to hopefully get you above even.

The bottom line is all your play will average out to the payback of the games you play. There's no magic to quitting immediately, in fact, by quiting you may have missed a really, really good day.

Take my play today for example, got ahead about 300 credits in the first half hour (after being down almost 300 at one time) and then bingo, my 4th royal of the month.
