There is no excuse for them taking in 14% profit on a game which should yield around 99.35% to the player or +.65% to the casino! What that points out is the predominance of ploppy progressions and clairvoyant soothsaying! That plus a unhealthy ignorance of Basic Strategy! And with those returns for the casino, can you wonder why they continue to rape the table rules with 6:5 Blackjacks and by disallowing doubles on anything but 11 and not offering doubles after splits? Heck, even with the good rules, the idiot masses wouldn't know when to take advantage! Making those plays at the wrong time would make even more money for the casinos!

Wouldn't those stats also include other games beyond blackjack?
And yes... there are some terrible players out there. People jsut out in Vegas to have fun and have no clue what they are doing.
I have no problem with that, it's my own return I worry about.

I assume it includes everything which makes BJ even worse. Most of the table games are dummy proof, except for the sucker side bets. Even double0 roulette is less than 6%. The table stat reminds me of the super bowl odds deal except it appeared in Las Vegas Advisor. Is it believable?

According to the experts; Shackelford,Stanford Wong, Anthony Curtis et al, there are as many sucker bets as there are suckers to make them. Thats the unfortunate part that keeps games with a low house advantage with the advantage to the house. Hard to guess what might happen if everyone played near perfect.

Isn't it, though. But the same for VP. The BJ rules would have to be toughened, so many players would not play.

You are right of course Eduardo....ALL table games would be included and all of them except Bacarrat (sp??) carry a much higher house percentage than BJ. I'd sure like to see the profits on BJ with the other table percentages removed. Those side bets in Blackjack...with a little mental agility and a very good count strategy, they can be exploited at times to very great player advantage! But with one exception that I'm thinking of, most are beyond the casual card-counter. I mean, you have to keep side counts in addition to just counting the deck condition.

What about craps and Pai Gow? Dice is dice so I understand if its not included but pai gow like Let it ride is a poker based game. You know you can go long on little when playing Pai Gow because it's so easy to push with the dealer.

You know you can go long on little when playing Pai Gow because it's so easy to push with the dealer.I'll go along with you on Dice. With conservative plays (pass and wrong way with odds) you can get close to an even break....like 99.9% You are probably right about lasting a long time at Pai Gow however, that game carries a house edge of 1.27% (ER 98.73%). That's if you can "bank" every other hand! With no Banking, the house edge is 2.54%. You might last a long time, but with those odds, you'll come out chasing you loses much of the time. With the odds at casinos and the amount of work and bankroll it takes to make a profit, I think that 18 holes of golf might be a better bet and even more economical if you watch it from your sofa at home on the big-screen!

I wonder what percentage of blackjack players in the casino are:
1) Consider themselves experts
2) Know a good deal about strategy
3) Know basic holds
4) Know most of the rules and make it up as they go
5) Ask the dealer "So I want to get closest to 21 without going over?"
I would guess 4 and 5 make up a majority of players with #3 close behind. The house favor for these groups has to be much better than for groups 1,2.
Not so with slots.
