SUNSET STATION (HENDERSON)
BETTER HALF AND I WILL BE COMING TO VEGAS IN MAY TO VISIT OUR SON AND DAUGHTER IN LAW AND WILL BE STAYING AT SUNSET STATION, ANY COMMENT'S ABOUT THE ROOM'S AND QUALITY OF SERVICE. NORMALLY STAY AT "GN" DOWNTOWN BUT THIS IS MUCH CLOSER TO WHERE THEY MOVED. SAME DIFFERENT -- BETTER WORSE -- ETC. THANK'S IN ADVANCE.

Sunset is a very nice place. It is located right across from a big mall so you can spend your winnings immediately. Lot's of nice restaurants in the area and you're only a couple blocks from a freeway to get you downtown in 10 minutes if you have a car. They have bowling lanes and a movie theater is you get tired of gambling.

Lots of VP and table games, plenty of slots and good food too. Big mall across the street as Shadow noted and nice rooms. Haven't stayed at GN so not in a position to rate rooms. About 6 mins. to Green Valley Ranch and about 3 mins to Fiesta Henderson should you not like the ambience of Sunset Station but can't imagine why. Just kicking it in the sportsbook and watching Hooters girls walk by is plenty of eye candy but not sure your missus may concur.

You're going to love this place. I like staying there and I just love their casino.
If you're renting a car, I would recommend parking on the left side of the hotel near the rear entrance where the hotel tower is. That way, you can just walk down the hall to register and then have the car close to the tower to bring your baggage up to the room. It also makes it easier to go in and out of the hotel to visit your family.
Make sure you sign up for a Boarding Pass players card as it will give you discounts for the buffet and let you possibly get some free comps for other dining. By the way, Stations allows you to have a joint account so your points accumulate faster.
Whatever you do, don't miss out on their breakfast buffet which is one of the best in town. They also have a great weekend brunch. I'm sure you'll eat their buffet more than once.
Stations has what they call a Jumbo Jackpot which can hit at any time while you play. They are just in the process of changing how it works, and the change will take affect March 31. basically the jackpot will start at $50,000 and must be hit by $100,000. You must have your players card inserted to win the jackpot. If the jackpot hits while you're playing, you can win up to $100 just for playing when it gets hit.
Hope this gives you a heads up on what to expect when you get there. By the way the rooms are very nice and comfortable.
