I was in Vegas last week and could not find a decent paying poker machine to save my life. The best place I found on the strip was a place called Bills Gambling Hall and Saloon, which is next to the Flamingo and across the street from Bally's and the Bellagio. The pay on JOB was 8/5 and I can't recall what DB was. I think it was 8/5 as well.

I thought that Buffalo Bills at state line (Primm) would have decent payouts, but no such luck. Oh well - I still walked away with over $400 on my last day there - playing nickels on VP, Wheel of Fortune and Keno! Woo hoo!

nikki;I fear you did not do much homework before you went;  Perhaps the issue lies in your second sentence, with the word 'strip'.  There are SOME, but not a high percentage, of decent (99-99.6%) games there....but plenty of 99.9---100.8% games in places such as the 4 Queens downtown, The Fiesta,  California,  and down boulder highway.    Consulting the vpfree2 website is a must if you are considering VP anywhere really. But it is still only a start....STAY OFF THE STRIP!!!  Glad you won anyway, but more diligence will reap BIGGER wins.....

You are very correct. I did no homework on looking into the payouts on the strip. I just walked into the casinos and checked them out for myself. They were very disappointing.

I'm not familiar with Nevada so I didn't know about The Fiesta and California. I'll definitely look into that. :)

I just got back from a 3 day stay at South Point. They did not have full pay JOB either, but they did have 9/7 DB and I made a killing on that. Slots were great too and you can't beat the comps and club card are amazing!

No 9/6 at South Point?! I Thought you must be mistaken so i went and looked at vpfree2. No 100% at all now?! Crazy.

Even the Hilton has 9/6 still (Note that this topic was old when I was posting in it before). Talking about near the strip, the Hilton is now looking like one of the better options.

Palms seems to be staying smart as well with some good full pay options.

You can find 9/6 on the strip but only in high limit rooms.

Palms recently lowered many of their payouts. Still ok, but not wow.

I found some good games at Planet Hollywood. You have to look hard,  but there are NSUD deuces and 9/6 DDB at all denoms mised in with poorer games.

The M Resort is outstanding. I highly recommend their video poker, many near and over 100% games. With their cashback policy, some of the best games in Vegas.

Alot of bad information out there. I'm very familiar with planet hollywood, will not say why on the public forum. There is 9/6 JOB at PH, just have to be willing to play at least $5 dollar min machine or greater. Probably the best play though if you have the scratch because much more willing to do some comping seeing you playing in the high limit area for sure.Listen to word of mouth with a grain of salt. Check out vpfree2. Not 100 percent accurate, but the best source I think besides scouting yourself. Off strip casinos, pretty much all the stations, have 9/6 JOB. I think JOB gets a bad rap, it's one of my fav games, and usually can play $1 dollar 9/6 JOB on a few hundred bucks for a very, very long time. It's all about the drinks and Royals and two pairs, right? lol GL
