Mesquite Trip Report, and a new strategy!

Post by Eduardo »

Okay, so this is only a mini trip report, but I feel like posting it any way.

We got into Mesquite far later than I expected and everyone in my party just wanted to get right to bed. I couldn't in good conscience spend the night at a casino hotel without visiting the casino, so I snuck out in the middle of the night to give the machines a whirl.

Weary from my travels, I stumbled into the casino and spent a good 15 minutes finding the full pay DDB machines.

There they were
Glistening under the lights
Such a sight!
In dollars and quarters alike?
Would I play, oh I just might!

I started at quarters, which is what I'm used to... only I started on Triple Play. Hey, it was late and I didn't want this to take forever. $40 would do to start... $20 would go too quickly on multi-line.  Well, just a few hands in I see a King. Nothing much else, just his highness by himself. I swore I saw him wink at me, so I decided to hold the gent.

What would appear on the top line of three?
Three more kings staring right back at me!

I cashed out right then, a ticket for $115. To the dollars I rushed, just to see what might happen. Should I lose it all promptly, I'd start over fresh. But this all came so fast, I thought it worth the test.

Single line dollars... haven't tried this much before.
Well, three hands in, I was dealt three kings more!

I held all three kings, gave my knee a quick itch
Up popped another, son of a monkey's uncle!

In less than 10 minutes, I took my forty and turned it into $300. Yes, I cashed out immediately and went right to bed. Gas was free for the rest of the trip.

So was born my new strategy, which is as follows...

Eduardo's "Rumble Through the Ciudad" Strategy:

1) Only play a short session. Because it's late and you do not want to be sleepy.
2) Hold all Kings. One King, Three Kings... it does not matter. They all lead to quads! Throw away even a full house if it contains any Kings. Those are where the money is. The Math geeks will never admit this.
3) It really doesn't matter if you are on a full pay machine. In fact, you don't even need any full houses or straights at all. I suggest taking any winnings from those hands and tipping the hostess. You will still come out way, way ahead.
4) After you win enough money at quarters, switch to dollars. You will win at both amounts, but winning at dollars is more fun.
5) Don't get greedy. If you feel like a machine has been good to you, give it a rest for the night. You can lead a horse to water but it can only swim so far before it drowns.

This strategy has worked 100% of the time for me. In this one trip, the machines retuned not 100.001%, but more than 750.00%! Do not argue against it unless you try it for yourself!

The trip was fun.
I think I got too much sun.
But I won.
Good night everyone.

Way to go Eduardo.   You are a poet and don't know it. By the way, I know it wouldn't have rhymed but, after you get the horse to water, try and get him to float on his back.
Those AP guys were wrong all along. Kings that wink are the way to go.  I know you played only a short time but did you see a pattern before the kings came up.

Interesting strategy.  If the plaid was ugly enough the machine might have paid off just to get rid of you.

I wasn't going to share this, but now that Eduardo's spilled the beans () you'll find that a nice paisley really gets those Jacks jumping.

black and white stripes. I dreamed Eduardo wore black and white strips. This is the Pattern. Sounds like Eduardo did some Machine Whispering and was not even aware of it.
Vp is developing so fast that all these Pattern Strategys are hard to keep up with. Someone needs to put it all down in book but keep it out of the general publics hands. Just let us insiders control it.

Boops tiger cat(kitty cat) is Rob Argentino, the same guy who went bankrupt due to losses at VP. He is forced to find new venues to sell his goods cause we have kicked his arse here and so many other places.
Argintino you can run but you cant hide from the SHADOW, CD, and me OEJ.

Eduardo, so what did you really think of Mesquite?  Love the new strategy, have to remember plaid aka "Bring in your own pattern", then you don't have to try to spot them.Good job!
