Ted, good reference to Casino. CD, "THAT" would be too much time on their hands sitting around counting poppy seeds or sesame seeds. what about the ones not visible? Look at the deli rack next visit to bucks and see the variety of muffins. I know overindulgence of java will keep me running to the little boys room.(hence the bedpan remark MikeA)Copious amounts of liquid plus 6 decades of decadence tend to exacerbate that rather fluid condition regardless of the specific period during the day/night cycle!

True, true,  In downtown Vegas I know where the three best coffee places are and the location of all the restrooms.

Gimme those three best coffee places.  Who cares about good paytables when a better cup of joe is available elsewhere?  I think vpfree should start a new category - coffee ratings.

Here goes, cddenver,   I have simple or cheap tastes take your pick:  Mc Donald's gourmet roast at Fitzgeralds or the Plaza with a Starbucks, {regular joe only, please} between them at the Nugget.  All of the downtown casinos have pretty good coffee while playing but service may slow at times.  Nothing finer than taking a break from drinking casino coffee and playing VP than by drinking a good cheap cup of  java while reading the local gambling news and watching my fellow bums, miscreants, load outs, dopes , mopes, escapees, tourists and working local folks go about their respective days.   God bless 'em every one.   Plus there was a fine donut shop in the Fitz with great coffee last year.

Some of the best coffee I had this last trip was in the Great Moments Restaurant in the Las Vegas Club.  Don't know what it was, but it sure was above average!Usually, when I'm playing, either VP or BJ, and order a cup of coffee (or double shot glass as it's usually served) and receive it, I could care less about the taste as long as it has a goodly quantity of caffeine in it!When the Wazoo at that Plaza coffee shop (Starbucks...maybe, can't remember) handed my my paper cup of coffee and pointed to the tip jar and said "that's for Gratuity", he caught me at the wrong time in my life cycle I guess.  I stared him straight in the eye and dropped one penny into the jar and walked away.  Haven't been back since

I'm with you on that.  Last time I hit a Starbucks in Vegas my grande coffee was over $3!  I think it's funny seeing those tip jars at places like Coors Field after paying $7 for a hot dog.  I never see much change in those jars, either.

For the record I only eat 2 buttermilk muffins from Dunkin on Saturday mornings, this is my weekly allowance of muffins. Coffee though is another story as I manage 3 cups each morning monday thru friday and 4 cups on saturday before I workout. My dad had the ability to consume coffee all day long and until bedtime because as I found out in my teen years it seemed as if my dad never slept.

Just remember that tip jar is there because they gave you great service, not because they need the money to pay for extracurricular things, heck we all need those and we don't carry a tip jar. I tip my servers accordingly. Remember, it's a service industry and good, friendly service will get you good rewards. Ask yourself," whens the last time you overtipped a handpay because you felt sorry?"

Does anybody have any good stories about  super aces/triple double bonus ??

For somebody who can grind it out, play for hours, super aces may be the best game second to none ..

I understand that you dont get kickers (which make the odds go up considerably anyway), and that you dont get 10/7 DBP (which keeps you alive longer, due to frequent hand hit ratio), but, either numerically or with any luck , it is simply great to get 2000 coins/credits on any four aces... especially on multi line (10play +) .

Just have killed it on this game

On TDBP, yes, indeed, a blood sucker ... And (which I frankly do not like), another kicker game with a pathetic 10coins for 3 of a kind.. However, there is nothing better than getting a few regular quads to give you a pinch of fire power, and then BOOM 2000 credits ($500 for 2,3,4 on quarters or $2000 on dollars, instead of that weak $200 or $800 on DDB), and 4000 credits on the AWK..

I have never been dealt on multi line, and only 3 times on single, but aces multi times .. My best hit on TDBP --- odd ... 3 aces dealt first ,, hit 4aces twice for $1630, no kicker ...

Only 3 hands later, dealt 4aces , 2kickers, $10k ..

Unreal, this is after hitting two royals and super aces 4 times on the same bank in less than two hours!

By the time that I went to my room at 7am (got there at 11pm), had an unreal $40k cash in my pocket .. Peppermill would not cash into a cashiers check .. Only on single wins, as I found out later ..

even dropping 12k the next day, i hit a few more royals and aces sunday, and went home + 36K

amazingly, went to an indian res in gueserville (above santa rosa,ca) ... w/1500 ,5 play, hit a royal on super aces , then hit super aces (up $6k at that point) , then switched to double double (which I almost never play) .. dealt 4 clubs to royal - another royal, super aces 3times more and dealt 4 3s on DBP .. $17k

Then went to peppermill in reno --- Incredible, - the week after I was dealt the aces w 2 kickers on TDBP $10k -- played DDBP and dealt 4aces, 5play, 3 kickers -- ... $7500 ..

I ended up an amazing $63k in one week = brst run ever for me ... a guy that usually plays 25-50cent multis.

Has anybody else had such luck, that in general plays quarters but played a pot shot and won 3 straight time???

Would love to hear!

Regards
Ken

Ken , never tried super Aces in a Casino but I'm thinking to myself...self , why not. Next trip I'll try it.  Hopefully I'll be able to add to this thread with the same kind of good news.

Super Aces is a fun one... those full houses with Aces can grate on you in other game types.
