Hi all!
I went to the casino today to play in a small slot tournament. You used to have to stand in line for about forty minutes to get a chance to sign up. I went up and signed up. I was the only person signing in. I then went and waited for about four minutes. Played in the tournament. Did HORRIBLE and decided to head home. The top prize was $1,000 and they paid out to the 25 place. I am wondering if I might end up still in the money LOL! There were three other people playing. I will let you know if I get into the money. I did beat those individuals.

Sounds like a promotion gone bad... although $1,000 seems like a low 1st place prize so they probably weren't putting a lot into promoting it.

Interesting thing about the promotion is I did not know about the tournamnet. I never saw any information about it in mailings. Of course sometimes I feel I am overwhelmed with mailings and no offers (I WANT CASH not a ticket to see the guys down under!) I went in to get a free (COUGH COUGH) meal and stopped at the booth and was told about it.
I will be going back up on Friday and will find out more information.

YES. I HAVE WON SEVERAL TIMES IN A SLOT TOURNAMENT AND HAVE RECEIVED THAT 1099 FORM IN JANUARY TO REPORT THE MONEY TO THE IRS.
WINNING MONEY IS ALWAYS NICE BUT DON`T GET INTO TAX TROUBLE . SOME PEOPLE CLAIM IT AS GAMBLING WIN/ LOSS AT THE END OF THE YEAR. LEGALLY YOU CAN`T DO IT BECAUSE IT IS A PRIZE.
