I've stayed there on my way to an island off the coast of Alabama and it sure seemed to be in the middle of no where but then we pulled in after 9 hours of driving and it was late at night.  I didn't have a great deal of luck playing in that short time but did enjoy watching a guy playing $100 slots with about four security people around him at all times.  I believe it was a bank of about five machines and he would just keep going around and around playing them all with two usually waiting on hand pays.  Different bank roll than mine!!!

NOT MY IDEA TO GO TO GRACELAND, BUT IF I WANT TO CONTINUE TO PLAY VP I MUST AT LEAST TRY TO MAKE HER THINK I AM DOING IT FOR HER.
HOWEVER, AT THE END OF A 13 HOUR DRIVE WE BOTH MAY REGRET IT.

Holy cow...I have lived in Memphis all my life. It's no more dangerous than any other medium to big city depending on where you hang out. I get it, you have nothing good to say about Memphis. How about sticking to the casino's.

IS IT ON THE MISS RIVER? No, its actually located in a nasty swamp. If you do want to see the river it can best be veiwed by heading north on Hwy. 61 toward Memphis when you reach the downtown area take a left and you will run into the river.
ARE THERE MANY CASINOS IN THE AREA? I believe there is 8.
IF SO, CAN YOU WALK TO ANY OF THEM? The Harrrah's (Grand) stands alone but they do offer a shuttle to the other Harrah's owned casinos. To me Sam's Town is the nicest casino of the bunch.
ANY COMMENTS ON PAY TABLES, I LIKE TBLE DBLE? No comment.
THANKS
FARMER1

1. There is no nasty swamp anywhere near these casino's. The casino's are located on canals branching off the MS river. You can go over to Fitzgeralds and near there, there is a nice river museum with riverboat rides, all located on the MS river. Driving back to Memphis would just be stupid.

2. You can easily walk between Horseshoe, Goldstrike and Shereton. All the others have shuttles.

How about actually helping people on their visit instead of just throwing out falsehoods.

Not meening to start an argument with you but he did ask about Memphis in a way if I'm not mistaken. I lived in Memphis for most of my life also so I know the city pretty well. What would you like me too say good about Memphis other than what I did? Exactly what did I say that was bad? He also ask about the Mississippi River. I just thought since he was asking about Graceland Riverfront Drive is a nice place to view the river. Sorry about the swamp thing though the canals are actually beautifull.

Unless you like it Texas-style dry rubbed with cornbread!
