Re: colorado springs
And dial-up...I remember it after using it when 300 baud was the best thing since sliced bread. I went through all the speeds (1200 2400 and 56kbs) starting back in the early 80's. I never thought I'd have to go back to dialup....but Vegas taught me differently! You can't even get broadband in most hotels out here. Vegas Club and Plaza now have wireless in the rooms for $10.00 a day but I don't have a wireless card. Not worth it to go buy one for the occasional trip to Vegas.
But I feel for you guys who are dialup! That is a sincere statement!
No one feels more for us dialup guys than we do. Someone told me there are faster connections available that let you watch videos and stuff. I remember the 300 baud days (acoustic couplers), and saving programs/data on punched paper tape. Ran a FidoNet BBS here for some years with a 9600 bps modem and thought that I was the cat's meow.
Good luck with the play tonight, looks like you should stick with the BJ.

Ansoda, if you want to do some sight-seeing I highly recommend finding your way over to the Garden of the Gods there.

Another tradition for first-timers is a visit to the Air Force Academy. A drive up Pike's Peak is another, but at this time of year I think the road up is closed.

Ahhh, the joys of all that archaic computer equipment which, for its time, was lightning fast and state of the art. Hey CD, were you familiar at all with this Wild Horse casino?Mike, good luck if you're still awake. Do the pre-dawn redeye thing if you're not. Too bad you couldn't hit on machines that were programmed to return over 100% with perfect play!
