New Mexico casinos

Post by Uncle Waltah »

Does anyone have any information on vp machines, payouts, random dealing in tribal casinos esp around albuquerque? I spent several mildly profitable afternoons at one a year or so ago playing somebody's system, but now learn I may have been playing on a VLT (video lottery) rather than true video poker machine.

I did a quick check with the "Find A Game" utility on this site, and it looks like the casinos there have at least some standard VP machines.  The machine info on this site doesn't say anything about the actual pay tables that you'll find there, though.

If we have some NM players here, perhaps they can give more info.

The nicest casino, in my opinion, is Sandia.  There's 4 within 15 miles/minutes of Albuquerque.  Sandia north right outside of town.  Santa Ana Star in Bernalillo 10 miles north of Albuquerque.  Isleta 7 miles south of Albuquerque.  Route 66 about 10 miles west of Albuquerque.  And the racino (slots and horse racing) in town on the state fair grounds if you like that sort.  I don't know about good paytables.  Seems like they are full pay from looking around.  I mostly play at Sandia.  It has a hotel on site.  The rooms are supposedly nice, never been in one.  I seem to get the most royal flushes while playing dueces wild.  Good luck and enjoy.  Every October we have the International Balloon Fiesta but you must reserve rooms far in advance.
