Anyone played at the Seminole HR in Ft. Lauderdale? We're headed that way and am interested in VP play? What do they have? Are any of them worthwhile pay table-wise?
Thanks,
LL

Lucky Larry, Check out the local paper for free Sun Cruz or Sterling Cruise when in FL. We just took a five hour Sun Cruz from Cape Canaveral in spite of previous trips in past years falling short of expectations - read losses. Often free bus transportation is offered from many communities such as Daytona and Orlando areas, usually twice a day, seven days a week. One needs to sign up a day in advance for the bus, but no reservations needed for the boat. We were told to avoid windy weather but that day worked for us. Perhaps fewer passengers chose to sail that day because of the weather conditions. I had no trouble finding machines I wanted to play as opposed to previous years. Several passengers were literally rolling around the carpeted deck from sea sickness but we know boats and no problem for us. Machines open for playing after the three mile limit and shut down on the way back at the three mile limit.
Older machines, NO TITO and only single line. When I hit two sets of quads on $1 DB, I could barely tote three buckets full of $ coins from deck four to cashier on the second deck, using the elevator. Later an attendant paid me $400 for quad deuces. Pay tables were okay for DB and some of the DW. DDB and TDB were 8/5. During the first five minutes, I hit quad tens and then AWAK on .25 TDB for $K. They will supply win loss statements but NO W2Gs on the open sea. Players cards are issued with cash backs and comps.
We did pay $8 each to board and received voucher for $20 on our NEXT trip. Someone warned against the buffet. We paid $7 each because our internet print out indicating free buffet was locked in our rental car. I walked off $900 ahead and my husband was $100 up on BJ. For us it was a fun time.
Log on Florida Sun Cruz and also Florida Sterling Cruise (s) for info. It's another glorious, sunny day in Daytona area and we are off to a pool party.

Larry, I live in the Ft Lauderdale area and go to the Seminole Hard Rock quite a bit. They have some decent vp machines. Mostly single line, but some 3/5/10 play. They also have super times pay machines. There also are a couple of other decent casinos in the area. I like the Isle of Capri in Pompano Beach at the racetrack. They have several different games there.

Marie - great idea, I'll google.
RR - Thanks for the input and input on IOC-Pompano Beach. Since we play at our IOC-Lake Charles this may be a better idea.

Hi Larry, I play all the time at the Seminole Hard Rock in Ft. Lauderdale and some good news regarding VP selection and paytables....For $1, $2, and $5 VP players they offer full pay 9/6 Jacks or Better and 8/5 Bonus on single line and 3-5-10 play...They also offer less than full pay 9/6 DB and 9/5 DDB on $1-$2-$5 levels. For $.25 video poker players they are much tighter with no full pay tables offered on any game but lots of people still play the 8/5 DDB quarters on the IGT Game Kings which have many other games on them. Good Luck!

fsugrad83,
Thanks for the update. We are still trying to get a response from Seminole about possibly staying there for Saturday night before we board. Otherwise, it will be a hotel in the area. What is the buffet like at SHR? Is it worth playing and trying out the buffet? Or is it better to go to IOC-PB? Since our kids will be with us (ages 45-39) and their spouses we want to make sure everyone has a great time.
Thanks,
LL
