May Contest Results: Ultimate X Poker

Post by Webman »

Thanks to everyone who participated in our May contest here at VideoPoker.com, featuring Ultimate X Poker. It was a lot of fun to watch, and we hope you enjoyed it as well.As always, we saw some incredible high scores. For complete contest results and winners, click here! Please note: As you can see in the 3rd place position, there is a score but no hands displayed. While we were able to verify the final session score, the individual hand failed to register. We are working to correct some server latency issues before the next contest to ensure that this does not happen again. Thank you to those who reported the slowdown when it was occurring.Winners
will be contacted by email and have 3 business days to respond and
claim their prize(s). Please specify appropriate clothing size for
apparel awards. We look forward to offering more contests in the near future. As always, we appreciate your feedback.

Another great contest, but it would be nice if we folks in Canada were allowed to participate also - Rules and Regs said only open to U.S. residents - which is odd since my husband won a t-shirt last time.  Please open it up to us again!?!  I play on your site EVERY day, as does my husband.
Many thanks for a great site!!!!

In the top ten, there was exactly one gold member. So I'm not sure where you are coming to that conclusion. Since this seems to be brought up a lot, we will probably do something next contest to better explain things up front. It is easily understood that people get frustrated seeing very high scores and come to such conclusions. But the answer is simple, really... it takes a lot of luck to get these scores.

Same rules for everyone.

When the Gold part of the site was set up, they were only going to have contests for Gold members as an incentive for people to join.  But for legal reasons they found they couldn't do that.  They can have contests where anyone can participate and everyone has an equal chance of winning, which is what they've done.

If you were to check earlier posts in this thread and the threads for earlier contests you'll see that Gold members actually do most of the whining, not the winning.

I think it's like every where else, it's just the luck of the cards. It doesn't matter if your a paying member or a non-paying member to win a contest, these contests are to have fun. I mean do people at a Casino hit more cause they have a membership card to that casino? No, it's just being at the right machine at the right time. Skill has something to do with it too, but mainly, as we all know (I'm Not Skilled) it is LUCK! I was absolutely shocked to be dealt  the Royal Flush when I had 12X points from the hand before, on this UltimateX contest. I was so worried I was going to mess it up, or somehow a glitch would happen with my computer or the Internet and that hand (or my final points for the session) would not register. Once the score was registered, I was able to relax some, until lacamp had such a high score under me a few days later. I wish everyone LUCK on the next contest.
