Thanks WM. Auto-hold occurs on some real vp machines when a non-improveable jackpot hand is dealt.

Here are a couple of other auto-holds on real machines, for the site software people who spend too much time on their PCs and not in casinos ():

Aces w/kicker dealt in Triple Double Bonus.
Aces dealt in Royal Aces.

Mule, (or anyone) have you ever seen those two NOT auto-held?

CD,

Not either of those specific hands, but I've had a couple dealt hands in the past year that I was surprised were not auto-held by the machine for the jackpot.

Last December, I was dealt 4 aces w/kicker at Harrah's Ak-Chin here in Phoenix on a 10-play STP DDB 10-cent game with no multiplier for $2000 jackpot and the machine did NOT auto-hold.

This past March at the Red Rock outside Vegas I was dealt 4 aces w/kicker on a 5-play DDB 25-cent game for a $2500 jackpot and the machine did NOT auto-hold.

In both cases I was very surprised since there was no possible improvement that could be made to the dealt hands and the dealt hands qualified for hand pay jackpots. I asked the slot attendant at Red Rock why the machine had not locked up, he was not sure. But, he did say some do and some don't. What I could gather is that maybe certain manufacturers or certain generations of machines do. Or, maybe it's a function that can be turned on in the machines' settings and some slot managers do and others don't.

Webman:

The same player is listed as being in both 1st and 2nd place with the EXACT same score? Is this a mistake or could that possible have happened? The exact same score on 2 different rounds?

Not only are the scores themselves the same, but the top three plays in each session are the same.  So the top score was counted twice.  If they're both left in there, the player ending up in the eleventh spot is going to be pretty upset.

Yes, it was just the same record stored twice. The duplicate has been purged.

Webman-why only DDB?-I would have loved JW as a choice as well.
