DDB Progressives

Post by Sweaty Palms »

Hello,
I am doing a little research and thought I would take my question to the community for some help.
I love Double Double Bonus (or any) Video Poker.  Unfortunately there are no good versions to play on my PDA.  Being a computer programmer, I thought I would write a basic version of DDB just to pass my time when I'm away from my desktop.  Here's the issue:  I want to have progressives in my game but I want to come up with some solid numbers to make it more realistic.  I have a formula, all I need to know is where you see the majority of progressives pay out.
For example, here is my contribution:
On a $0.25 DDB machine, I see the machine payout Aces with the kicker around $600, with the minimum reset to $500 (2400 and 2000 coins, respectively).
Post some regular payouts so I can get a good idea of where to program my simulation.

If I'm not explaining this well, please let me know and I will try to explain it better.

Sweaty Palms,

On the 25-cent DDB Progressive I play at Taj Mahal in AC, the payouts are usually as follows:

Royal Flush: Usually ranges between $1000 (4000 credits) and $1250 (5000 credits)

Aces w/kicker: Usually ranges between $500 (2000 credits) and $625 (2500 credits)

Straight Flush: Usually ranges between $62.50 (250 credits) and $85 (340 credits)

hope that helps

Mike

On Superbowl night, I hit it big on a DDB Progressive 5ct machine at GVR.  I was into my 5th play when I was dealt 2 Aces which I held and discarded the rest. To my surprise, I was dealt 2 more Aces and the kicker (3 of spades) for a nice $412.00 win. If I was playing a regular DDB poker machine, my winning hand would only payout $100.00  I quickly called it a night ending on a high note and packed my suitcase for my return home the next day. Now, I am a true believer in Progressive poker machines and will look for them the next time I am in LV.
Aloha,
Steve

Steve,
Were you playing a 20-credit nickel machine for max credits?  The normal payout on quads is 2,000 or $100 for 5-credit max nickel machines.
